India vs Nepal Live Streaming: When and where to SAFF U17 Women's Championship?

The SAFF U17 Women’s Championship is available for free live streaminf in India.

The Indian U17 women’s team are set to kick off their SAFF U17 Women’s Championship against Nepal at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu, Bhutan, on Wednesday, August 20.

There has been a change in the format of the tournament, where all four teams—India, Nepal, Bhutan, and Bangladesh — will play each other twice in a double round-robin format. The team with the most points after their six matches will be crowned champions.

India will be coached by Joakin Alexandersson, under whom the U20s recently achieved qualification for the AFC Asian Cup. He’ll be expected to work his magic again this time in the Bhutan capital and win a record third SAFF U17 Women’s Championship. The Blue Tigresses last won the tournament in 2019.

The group has been training since January

To prepare for the tournament, the U17 batch began training in Bengaluru since January. 13 players out of the 23-woman SAFF squad were part of the Indian Arrows Women Junior team that impressively finished second in the Indian Women’s League 2, achieving promotion.

Nivetha Ramadoss, the assistant coach, had been in charge of training the girls as Alexandersson was engaged with his duties with the U20 side. India will be led by Julan Nongmaithem, who is one of the youngest members in the squad at just 14.

India has had immense luck with the venue in the past, having won their two titles on the two occasions the tournament was held in Bhutan. Bangladesh also has two titles, won in 2017 and 2024. Russia and Nepal have both won it once each as well.

India U17 Women’s team’s opener at the SAFF U17 Women’s Championship will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu, Bhutan, at 14:30 IST. The match will be streamed live on the Sportzworkz YouTube Channel.
