India win by a 3-0 scoreline against Bangladesh

India wrapped up their SAFF Women’s Championship 2026 group-stage campaign in a confident way with a commanding 3-0 victory over Bangladesh at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa on Sunday.

The result saw the Blue Tigresses finish top of Group B and set up a semifinal clash against Bhutan on Wednesday. The win was particularly significant as it marked India’s first victory over Bangladesh in the competition since 2019.

The Blue Tigresses dominated proceedings from the outset, controlling possession and pinning Bangladesh deep inside their own half. Despite creating several promising opportunities early on, including a couple of chances for Pyari Xaxa, India initially struggled to find the breakthrough.

Their persistence eventually paid off just after the half-hour mark when Pyari found the back of the net, giving the hosts a deserved lead. India continued to dictate the tempo after the break, with substitutes Lynda Serto and Malavika adding further goals to seal a comfortable victory and ensure the Blue Tigresses finished top of Group B heading into the semi-finals.

Here are the Indian Player Ratings for the Blue Tigresses game against Bangladesh Women’s football team
