Subroto Cup 2024 Junior Boys (U17): Lord Krishna SSS qualify for quarters

The Haryana-based school team made it to the quarter-finals with a third win.
Lord Krishna Senior Secondary School, Haryana confirmed their spot in the last eight with a group match to spare of the 63rd Subroto Cup Junior Boys International Football Tournament which is being played here in New Delhi and NCR. They beat Tripura Sports School 2-0 to make it three wins out of three matches and mathematically confirm their place in the quarterfinals from Group H with one more group match to play tomorrow.
Stephen’s second-half penalty was enough for RMSA High School, Mizoram to overcome Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan in a Group B encounter and edge closer to a knockout place. Amenity Public School, Uttarakhand edged out Guru Govind Sports College, Lucknow in a crucial Group D fixture for their third consecutive win in the tournament.
The school from Uttarakhand can qualify for the knockouts if they win their last match tomorrow. It is a similar story for Minerva Public School, Mohali, and Sri Lanka Schools Football Association as a victory in their last group match will ensure they advance to the last eight of the Subroto Cup 2024 Junior Boys (U17).
Myngken Christian Higher Secondary School, Meghalaya, Govt. Secondary School, Monigong, Arunachal Pradesh, and T.G English School, Bishnupur, Manipur have already booked their places in the quarterfinals.
The final group stage matches of the Subroto Cup will be played tomorrow at the Ambedkar Stadium, Tejas Football Ground, KIIT Global School, and G.D Goenka World School and the quarterfinals are slated for 7th September.
