Bengaluru FC are on the hunt for their second Super Cup title.

Indian Super League (ISL) club Bengaluru FC have officially announced its squad for the upcoming 2025 Super Cup tournament. The 28-man squad signals a blend of seasoned veterans and promising young talents as the club aims to win the Cup again.

The Blues won the Super Cup in 2018 and will be desperate to end the 2025 season with some silverware. Bengaluru FC head coach Gerard Zaragoza will be looking for his first trophy with the club since taking over the reins in December 2023.

Between the posts, Gurpreet Singh Sandhu is set to continue as the first-choice goalkeeper, with Lalthuammawia Ralte and Sahil Poonia providing competent backup options. Despite having a disappointing 2024-25 ISL campaign with the Blues, Sandhu kept nine clean sheets, the second-highest tally in the league.

He will be keen to turn things around to justify his selection as the club’s No. 1 goalkeeper. Beside him, Ralte and Poonia will be backup goalkeepers who will keep a close eye on Sandhu’s performances to step up next season.

The defensive line will be the strength for the Blues

The Blues have retained most of their players from the ISL campaign for the upcoming tournament. Players like Namgyal Bhutia, Rahul Bheke, Naorem Roshan Singh, and Chinglensana Singh are set to continue in the starting lineup.

Nikhil Poojary, Aleksandar Jovanovic, Mohamed Salah, and Harsh Palande will support the starters. With some of these players having sporadic game time or coming back from injury, the Blues will have plenty of good options off the bench.

At the same time, young talents like Vinith Venkatesh, Lalremtluanga Fanai, Shreyas Ketkar, and Harsh Patre add depth and dynamism to the midfield off the bench.

Alongside him, the attacking lineup features Indian players like Sivasakthi Narayanan, Rohit Danu, Halicharan Narzary, and Taorem Kelvin Singh, providing a mix of agility and goal-scoring prowess.

The squad also features players with foreign experience, like Edgar Mendez, Jorge Pereyra Diaz, and Ryan Williams, who add invaluable experience and goals to the team.

The Blues will face an in-form Inter Kashi in the first round

Bengaluru FC are set to commence its Super Cup journey with a clash against Inter Kashi, who secured their spot after finishing second in the I-League standings. The match will kick off at 4:30 PM on Wednesday, April 23, at the Kalinga Stadium.
