Inter Kashi will play the hosts, FC Goa, on Wednesday, October 29th 2025, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda, Goa. Both teams showed promise and quality in their respective openers of the AIFF Super Cup 2025-26.

FC Goa beat Jamshedpur FC 2-0 in what was a repeat of the 2025 Super Cup Final played in May. Despite Jamshedpur’s eagerness to take revenge, Manolo Marquez’s Gaurs outclassed them over the two halves, producing a healthy victory. They now sit pretty at the top of the group with 3 points.

Inter Kashi, on the other hand, are without their talismanic head coach, Antonio Lopez Habas and their foreign players. They fielded an all-Indian lineup against NorthEast United FC, led by Sumit Passi and managed to secure a hard-fought 2-2 draw against the Highlanders.

A crucial game for FC Goa’s title defence

NorthEast United successfully defended their Durand Cup title earlier this year. The Gaurs will aim to repeat the same feat in the Super Cup this time. A win against Inter Kashi would help them place one foot in the semi-final spot.

FC Goa recently lost to Asian heavyweights Al Nassr by a 2-1 margin in the AFC Champions League 2. Given their impressive record historically in the continental stage, the men in orange will be motivated to defend the title as it secures them a playoff spot in ACL 2.

However, Inter Kashi can spoil their party just like they did for Juan Pedro Benali’s NorthEast United FC. Goa cannot afford to leave any room for complacency as Inter Kashi will be ready to capitalise on any mistakes by the hosts.
