Hyderabad FC has moved to Delhi and changed its name to Sporting Club Delhi!

A new day and fresh beginnings for Delhi-based club SC Delhi, who will play its first competitive match in its existence. Up against them are two-time ISL champions Mumbai City FC. The two clubs will face off at Goa’s Fatorda Stadium.

This will be Islanders’ first game since losing to Jamshedpur FC in the last edition of the Super Cup. Despite winning the league in his first season, Petr Kratky has been under fire at Mumbai after his team finished sixth in the league and lost by a thumping five goals to zero in the 2024–25 ISL quarterfinals.

They have signed five domestic players and registered four foreigners for the Super Cup. “There were a lot of changes, but I’m happy to be back and get ready to play games and train”, added Petr Kratky ahead of the game.

Tomasz Tchorz to lead SC Delhi

Tomasz spent five years with the Kerala Blasters, mostly with the youth players. He has played an important part in the development of Blasters young players like as Vibin Mohanan, Aimen, Azhar, Korou Singh, and others who have made it to the first team. In his last season, he was named interim head coach when Mikael Stahre was sacked. Andrei Alba and Rafael Riberio are the only two foreigners registered in their squad.

“If we are participating in the cup, we are having the mentality that we want to compete with other teams. And to be the champion of this cup, obviously. So, this is our objective.”, added Tomasz ahead of the game.

The 2025 AIFF Super Cup promises to be exciting, and football fans nationwide may watch it from the stands in Goa. The match will be held at Goa’s Fatorda Stadium on October 27, 2025, at 19:30 IST.
