Forca Kochi made a remarkable comeback in the Super League Kerala match.

The final match of round four of Super League Kerala saw Forca Kochi FC hosting Thiruvananthapuram Kombans FC at their home ground, packed with passionate supporters from the Forca Cruz fan club. Forca Kochi, still searching for their first win of the season, were determined to turn their fortunes around and reignite their league campaign.

On the other hand, Thiruvananthapuram Kombans entered the game without their influential captain, Patrick Motta, who was suspended after a red card in the previous match. The midfield responsibilities were handed to Indian player Paul Ramfangzauva, as Kombans sought to secure three crucial points and climb to the top of the points table.

In the opening minutes of the match, Forca Kochi FC aimed to capitalize on the absence of Kombans captain Patrick Motta by targeting the midfield and trying to dominate possession. However, the well-organized defense of Thiruvananthapuram Kombans stood strong, absorbing the pressure from the home side.

Forca Kochi’s captain, Arjun Jayaraj, worked hard to lead his team from the center of the park, but despite his efforts, the passes and distribution weren’t enough to break through Kombans’ solid backline.Kombans, relying on quick counters and set pieces, began to grow into the game.

Their persistence paid off in the 41st minute when they won a corner. Brazilian international Marcos Wilder rose highest to meet the ball with a powerful header, placing it perfectly into the net to give Kombans the lead. The first half ended with Thiruvananthapuram Kombans FC leading 1-0.

In the second half, Forca Kochi FC manager Mario Lemos adjusted his team’s strategy after carefully reading Kombans’ gameplay. This shift in tactics brought a revitalized and aggressive Kochi side onto the pitch, as they launched a series of consistent attacking moves that put Kombans under pressure.

Kombans, struggling to match Kochi’s newfound energy, missed several key opportunities to extend their lead. Kochi’s goalkeeper Hajmal played an exceptional role, making crucial saves to keep his team in the game.

The equalizer that Kochi fans had been eagerly waiting for came in the 63rd minute, with forward Rahul KP finding the back of the net, sending the home crowd into rapturous celebrations. From that point on, Kochi maintained their intensity, pushing for a winning goal.

Their efforts were rewarded when Nijo Gilbert delivered a precise assist to Dorielton, who scored the decisive goal, securing Kochi’s first victory in the Super League Kerala. Thiruvananthapuram Kombans FC had a final chance to equalize in the dying minutes but failed to convert, leaving Forca Kochi FC to celebrate a hard-earned 2-1 victory.
