Forca Kochi suffer their third consecutive defeat in Super League Kerala against Kannur Warriors at home

Forca Kochi are yet to register a win in the Super League Kerala 2025.

Kannur Warriors emerge victorious against Forca Kochi 0-1 in the final matchday of the third round fixtures of the Super League Kerala at the historic Maharajas College Ground on the 24th of October, 2025.

After a lethargic first half, Kannur Warriors scored their solitary goal of the game with the services of the Spaniard Adrian Sardinero, who found the back of the net in the 84th minute after skilfully tapping in the pass from Asier Gomes and registered the second victory for the Warriors in the Super League Kerala.

An uneventful first half

Forca Kochi got the ball rolling, and from the very first involvement with the ball, the match looked lethargic and rather boring, as both teams struggled to make their mark at the Maharajas Ground. Both sides were desperately trying to open up from the wings, but to their dismay, neither of them were able to execute in the final third.

The Warriors looked the better of the two sides as they consistently piled pressure upon the hosts with the services of Shijin, who crafted some beautiful play for the visitors. In the 15th minute, the 25-year-old came so close to scoring, but the Forca keeper stood alert and prevented him from scoring.

Forca too attempted to bolster their attack with the boots of Sangeeth, Riego Ramon and Douglas Tardin, but the Warriors resolutely cleared away all the attempts, and at the stroke of the first half, the score remained nil-nil.

The Gomes-Sardinero Effect

The second half did not see much of a change as both teams continued their snail-paced performance in the initial minutes. However, around 15 minutes after the break, Manuel Sanchez brought in the fresh legs of Ebindas, Adrian Sardinero and Asier Gomes, who injected the attacking intent and energy that was lacking somewhere in the game.

The duo linked up well and created some good combination plays that mounted some serious pressure on the Forca Cruz. In the 84th minute, after repeated attempts to breach the net, Kannur finally found the opener in the 84th minute.

Ebindas provided a beautiful through ball to Asier Gomes, who provided the ball into the six-yard box. After a deflection from Nicolas Delmonte, went straight to Sardinero, who skilfully found the back of the net to provide the visitors with the advantage and seal the 0-1 victory for the Warriors in the Super League Kerala.

Round 4 fixtures for Forca Kochi and Kannur Warriors FC in the Super League Kerala

Forca Kochi will next face Thrissur Magic FC on Friday, the 31st of October at the Maharajas College Stadium, while the Kannur Warriors will travel to EMS Corporation Stadium to face Calicut FC on the 29th of October in their fourth round fixtures of the Super League Kerala
