Forca Kochi FC won the first-ever penalty shootout in Super League Kerala
Forca Kochi FC defeated Thrissur Magic FC 4-1 (on penalties) at the Corporation Stadium, Thrissur, on the 1st October 2026 as part of the first match of Round 2 fixtures of the Super League Kerala 2026.
The game ended 0-0 at full-time and, as part of the new 3-2-1 points system, proceeded to penalties, where the visiting side defeated the Magicians with a scoreline of 4-1.

Despite being one man down, Thrissur continued to be the better of the two sides and kept attacking for the opener. Meanwhile, even though Forca Kochi FC, with an extra-man advantage, tried to breach the Thrissur net, they were unable to do so, and after the end of ninety minutes, the game ended in a goalless deadlock.
In the penalty shootout, Forca Kochi ultimately had the better of Thrissur Magic FC and clinched the victory and two points with them. Thrissur Magic FC, despite being on the losing side, walked away with one point.
