Super League Kerala 2025: Updated points table, most goals after Kannur Warriors FC vs Thrissur Magic FC

Thrissur held the Warriors to a 1-1 stalemate.

The unbeaten Kannur Warriors faced off against an in-form Thrissur Magic FC for the final matchday of the Round 5 fixtures of the Super League Kerala 2025 at the Jawahar Municipal Stadium, where both sides settled to a deadlock and shared the spoils.

After a rather disappointing and uneventful first half, Kannur wasted no time in the second half and scored their opener off Sinan, who controlled the ball provided by Sardinero to take a bullet shot at the top corner to break the deadlock of the match.

Later, Thrissur found the back of the net on two different occasions, but both times, the goal was ruled offside. However, just as the hopes of the visiting fans were almost extinguished, Thrissur found the equaliser off Bibin Ajayan, who headed in the ball following a mis-clearance from the Kannur defender to seal the draw and grab a crucial point for his side.

With this draw, Kannur remain unbeaten in the Super League Kerala, midway through the season, and Thrissur, despite breaking their three-game winning streak, remain unbeaten in their last four matches and would consider this last-minute draw equivalent to a win.

Thrissur Magic FC are the toppers midway through the season

Following this draw, Thrissur Magic FC have progressed one step above in the Super League Kerala table. With three wins, a draw and a loss, the Magicians are at the top of the table wth ten points and have almost sealed their berth in the knockouts.

Meanwhile, Kannur Warriors FC still remain in the third position with an unbeaten streak. They have currently bagged nine points, with a goal difference of +2, and are tied with Malappuram FC, who have a superior goal difference of +4.

The defending champions, Calicut FC, are placed in fourth position with eight points. Thiruvananthapuram Kombans are placed in the 5th position with 4 points, and Forca Kochi have cemented themselves at the rock bottom with zero points in their five matches, with the curtains almost fallen for this season.

For the final matchday of round six, the table toppers Thrissur Magic FC, will face Malappuram FC on the 12th of November.
