Assam FA provides details on ticket availability of India-Afghanistan game
There will be a mad rush to get hands on the tickets for the World Cup Qualifier fixture.
Indian men’s national football team will play the second of their back-to-back 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers (Round 2) fixtures against Afghanistan on 26 March 2024 at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium, Guwahati in Assam, India. In the build-up of a highly crucial fixture, the Assam Football Association has announced the ticket availability for the Group A contest.
The tickets to witness India taking on Afghanistan at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium will go live on BookMyShow on 18 March 2024 from 3 PM IST. A huge crowd is expected to gather to cheer the Blue Tigers as they take on Afghanistan with eyes towards reaching the third and final round of the qualifiers from the AFC region.

Football runs deep in the culture of the Northeastern States of India. That is one of the reasons why the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifier fixture is taking place there. People will rush to get their hands on the tickets for the game on 26 March and witness the Blue Tigers live from the stands.
Igor Stimac boldly claimed that India will advance into the Round 3 of the World Cup Qualifiers. As it stands, India are in third position behind Qatar and Kuwait in first and second positions, respectively. According to the rules of the qualifiers, the top two teams from the group stages of the second round shall earn direct entry into the third round of qualifiers.
India are favourites to produce a positive result against Afghanistan, a team which has conceded 12 goals in two matches. The first of the two clashes occurs in Saudi Arabia on 21 March 2024 and the second on 26 March in Guwahati, Assam. The Blue Tigers will have the backing of the home supporters and must deliver a win.
