The Indian football team are all set to travel to Tajikistan during the June FIFA international window to play two crucial friendlies against Palestine football team and Tajikistan football team. The matches are scheduled to be played on June 6 (Palestine) and June 9 (Tajikistan) in Dushanbe, Tajikistan during the FIFA international window.
The All-India Football Federation (AIFF) has informed clubs that India will participate in these two friendlies in Tajikistan on June 6 and June 9. The Indian team may directly travel to Tajikistan for this friendly tour from the UK after participating in the Unity Cup 2026 which is scheduled to end on 31 May.

Next, the Indian team are likely to participate in the upcoming inaugural FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026 which according to reports, is likely to be played in the international window between September 21 and October 6, 2026, but the details regarding that are still not clear. The participating nations may include Myanmar, Cambodia, Brunei, Laos, Timor-Leste, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, India, Thailand, China, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines. So, this itself becomes another stage where India could very well test themselves.
Later in the year, the Indian team are also scheduled to participate in the SAFF Championship 2026, but nothing is clear as of now on this as the tournament is supposed to be played in the same September-October window when India plays the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026. So, the participation is still in question but if the senior team does not play here, there is a possibility that the U-23 may be a part of this tournament or the tournament gets pushed further forward in the year and the senior team plays it.
