Indian Football Team Player Watch: Lallianzuala Chhangte & Liston Colaco impress; Anwar Ali needs to improve
A few Indian football team players have shown some spirited performances this week.
Khel Now is back with another analysis of the Indian football team players. This time the names of 25 players who represented the nation in the match against Malaysia in an international friendly have been listed again.
This report has been prepared based on the Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 Game Week 15 to keep the players’ performance updated while keeping an eye on the upcoming international assignments.
The performances of the 23 players till the Game week 15 of ISL.
Amrinder Singh – 6
Amrinder not only failed to keep a clean sheet in ISL this week, but also conceded four goals in the process. He did make four saves, one clearance and even came off his line to clear the danger, but it just wasn’t enough.
Aakash Sangwan – 6
Aakash Sangwan recorded his most disappointing performance this season in ISL this week. He lost the ball 24 times and even conceded a foul. Sangwan only made two clearances and one tackle while winning all of his aerial duels.
Anwar Ali – 6.5
Anwar completed 83% of his passes, including six long balls. He also won the majority of his ground duels while recording two tackles, one interception and one clearance each.
Asish Rai – 7
Asish Rai made four clearances, three tackles and one interception and helped his side keep a clean sheet in ISL this week, as well. He won six of his nine ground duels and also completed 1/1 attempted dribbles.
Brandon Fernandes – 7.5
Brandon recorded an assist and set up Chhangte for a goal. He made two key passes with an accuracy of 82%, but his shift was cut short following a first-half injury.
Chinglensana Singh Konsham – 7
Sana made three clearances and one block while winning all of his aerial and ground duels. He also completed 96% of his passes, including 8/10 long balls.
Edmund Lalrindika – NA
Farukh Chaudhary – NA
Gurpreet Singh Sandhu – 5
Gurpreet Singh Sandhu’s poor run of performances continues. He made a big mistake that led to the winning goal for Jamshedpur FC as Bengaluru FC dropped all three points from a winning position.
Jeakson Singh Thounaojam – 7
Jeakson completed 24/28 passes including three long balls. He also made two interceptions and had two shots blocked.
Lalengmawia – NA
Lallianzuala Chhangte – 7.5
Chhangte scored a goal and helped his side secure an important victory in ISL this week. He maintained a passing precision of 82% and also executed a key pass while recording two shots on target.
Liston Colaco – 8
Liston Colaco was one of the best Indian players this week. He executed 79% of his passes, including a key pass. Colaco had five shots on target and he even won the majority of his ground duels while making three crucial tackles.
Manvir Singh – NA
Manvir came on very late in the game and couldn’t make an impact.
Mehtab Singh – 7.5
Mehtab was solid at the back for Mumbai City FC. He made the most number of clearances by any player this week (11) in ISL while completing 87% of his passes. Moreover, Singh won all of his six aerial duels and made two interceptions as well.
Rahul Bheke – 7
Rahul Bheke had a bust outing as he made eight clearances along with one tackle and block each. He also won the majority of his aerial duels while maintaining a passing accuracy of 85%.
Roshan Singh Naorem – 7.5
Roshan notched up an assist against Jamshedpur FC. He also made two clearances and one interception while winning most of his ground and aerial duels. Moreover, he executed four key passes to perfection.
Subhasish Bose – 7.5
Subhasish Bose helped Mohun Bagan record yet another clean sheet. He made seven interceptions alongside one tackle, block and clearance each. He also executed two key passes.
Suresh Singh Wangjam – 7
Suresh maintained the best passing percentage among Indian players with a passing accuracy of 92%. He also won the majority of his ground duels.
Vishal Kaith – 8
Vishal recorded his seventh clean sheet of the 2024-25 season in ISL this week. Additionally, he made seven saves, including three from inside the box.
Thoiba Singh – 7
Thoiba made an assist along with two clearances, one tackle, one interception and one block each. He completed 88% of his passes and also came very close to scoring a goal.
Hmingthanmawia Ralte – 7
Valpuia recorded five clearances, four tackles and one interception. He won six ground duels and two aerial duels while maintaining a passing accuracy of 89%.
Sandesh Jhingan – 7
Sandesh Jhingan made five clearances, one block, interception and tackle each. Jhingan also recorded an assist and had one shot off target.
Jithin MS – 6.5
Jithin came on in the second pass and completed 8/9 passes. However, he couldn’t make much of an impact for his side in ISL this week and had a shot blocked.
