Three Thailand U23 players to watch out for against India U23 football team

The India U23 football team will face Thailand U23 on November 15.

The India U23 football team is set to return to action when they face Thailand U23 in two friendly matches during the November 2025 international break. The first match will take place on Friday, 14 November 2025, and both teams will look to regain momentum by winning this clash.

For Thailand U23, these friendly matches against the Blue Colts will serve as preparation for the 2025 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in December. Thwatchai Damrong-Ongtrakul will aim to ensure that his players implement his tactics perfectly.

The matches against India will also be the perfect opportunity for some talented young Thai players to show their quality on the international stage. Some particularly glittering talents will be determined to gain confidence with some clinical performances against the Blue Colts.

Here we take a look at the three Thailand U23 players to watch out for against India U23.

3. Thanakrit Chotmuangpak

A talented midfielder looking to break into the Thailand senior team, Thanakrit Chotmuangpak, has been turning heads with his recent performances in the local scene. The Buriram United midfielder is versatile enough to play on both wings, despite naturally being an attacking midfielder.

He has scored two goals in the 2025/26 season for his club; both came in the Thai FA Cup. Chotmuangpak is eager to score his first goal for Thailand U23 and will look to be a thorn for the Indian players.

The 19-year-old will be looking to outwit his opponents with his clever movement and link-up play with his teammates in the empty spaces in midfield. He will also need to be particularly innovative with his final-third passes to confuse the defenders and create big chances. Thanakrit will look to sneak his way into more scoring positions and put away chances efficiently to help Thailand U23 get a big win.

2. Thitipat Ekarungpong

The Thailand U23 set-up will aim to test the ruthlessness of their talented forwards in the upcoming games against India U23. As a result, the promising young forward Thitipat Ekarungpong should expect to receive his opportunity to prove his quality as a reliable goal-scorer.

The Nakhonpathom striker has two goal contributions (one goal, one assist) in the Thai League 2 this season but has impressed his coach with his hard-working nature and unpredictable application in the final third.

The 20-year-old forward will look to take his opportunity perfectly against India U23 to show he has a future with the national team. He will use his clever IQ level inside the box to try to outwit defenders and capitalise on opportunities.

If Ekarungpong performs well against the Blue Colts, he will get the confidence he needs to score goals in this campaign.

1. Yotsakorn Burapha

Yorsakorn Burapha has earned a stellar reputation in the Thailand football, having played 82 matches at the club level by the age of 20. He scored 14 goals during this period, including five in the Thai League 1.

The 20-year-old forward is a menacing threat to defenders because of his off-the-ball movement and threatening nature in the final third. On loan at Singapore club Hougang United in the 2025-26 season, the 20-year-old has already impressed by scoring two goals in five Singapore Premier League games for them.

Burapha will be determined to bring that form to the international stage and be a nightmare for the Blue Colts. Burapha has scored nine goals in 17 games for Thailand U23 so far and is determined to increase that tally.

He’ll look to use his clever movement and link-up play to disrupt the Indian backline and get to the end of chances to clinically finish them off to guide his side to a dominant victory.
