Top 5 Indian football team goalkeepers of all time

These guardians made some huge contributions to the Indian football team.
In Indian football, the spotlight rarely shifts to the goalkeepers, who are the last line of defence but are often the first to be blamed and rarely the first to be praised. While strikers and midfielders get their share of limelight, the keepers between the posts stand tall in silence, saving shots, penalties and sometimes the entire game.
With growing competition in the ISL and I-League, and a focus on youth development, the role of the goalkeeper is evolving technically as well as tactically.
From the fearless Subrata Paul in the 2000s to Gurpreet Singh Sandhu guarding the goal in recent times, Let’s take a look at some of the most important goalkeepers who donned the India Football team jersey..
