Indian Football Team will face hosts Afghanistan at the Damac Stadium.
The Indian Football Team are gearing up in full swing to face the Lions of Khorasan. The Blue Tigers are set to face the Afghanistan national men’s football team at the Damac Stadium on March 21, 2024.
Igor Stimac’s men are leaving not a single stone unturned as they set their foot in the second round group A fixture of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

Coming from a horrendous display in the recently concluded AFC Asian Cup in Qatar, where the men in blue lost every single game without even scoring a single time, the Blue Tigers will look to roar back.

In their mission to get back to winning ways, the Sunil Chhetri-led side can be seen working really hard, hitting hard in the gym sessions & sweating it out in the training sessions every single day in Abha, Saudi Arabia.

Facing the lower-ranked Afghanistan (158), team India will look to not only gain full points from the upcoming two vital fixtures but also hit on the golden opportunity to salvage big wins to better the overall goal difference in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers group stage.

Captain Chhetri & his team will be playing at over 2,000 meters above the sea-level. This change in altitude shouldn’t worry the Blue Tigers much, given the superior skills they possess.

India will play their next game against the same opponent at home on March 26, 2024, at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati. Igor Stimac’s disciples will surely look to give their 100% and get the biggest wins possible.
