Eurosport to broadcast India's friendly matches against Vietnam, Singapore

The three teams will meet in the High Thinh Friendly Football Tournament.

The Indian football team face hosts Hong Kong and Singapore in a tri-nation-friendly tournament later this month. The meet between these three teams has been named the High Thinh Friendly Football Tournament. Igor Stimac's side begin their campaign against Singapore on September 24 followed by the Vietnam match three days later. Eurosport will live telecast the matches in India.

The Blue Tigers, who will be in action for the first time since June's AFC Asian Cup qualifiers, leave for Vietnam from Kolkata later on Tuesday (September 20). India underwent a two-day training camp in the City of Joy before traveling for the friendly tournament.

Earlier in the day, India head coach Igor Stimac announced his final squad for the international friendlies. The Croatian coach named a 23-member final squad that will travel to Vietnam for the friendlies. The final squad is a trimmed version of the 24-member probables list announced by Stimac for the national camp.

Vikram Partap Singh, who had earlier withdrawn from the probable squad due to injury, returned to the final squad replacing Deepak Tangri. The Indian football team squad is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, Dheeraj Singh Moirangthem and Amrinder Singh

Defenders: Sandesh Jhingan, Roshan Singh Naorem, Anwar Ali, Akash Mishra, Chinglensana Singh Konsham, Harmanjot Singh Khabra and Narender

Midfielders: Liston Colaco, Muhammed Ashique Kuruniyan, Vikram Partap Singh, Udanta Singh Kumam, Anirudh Thapa, Brandon Fernandes, Yasir Mohammad, Jeakson Singh Thounaojam, Sahal Abdul Samad, Rahul Kannoly Praveen and Lallianzuala Chhangte

Forwards: Sunil Chhetri and Ishan Pandita

Igor Stimac, whose contract has now been extended till the AFC Asian Cup 2023, sounded confident about the task at hand. "We are definitely capable of winning the tournament, but I think it’s the small things that will decide who win it,” the head coach said.
