The tournament will kick off on April 20 with the Final scheduled for May 3.

The Kalinga Super Cup 2025 is about to kick start from April 20, 2025, at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. After Churchill Brothers FC withdrawal from the tournament, it will now be played between 15 Indian clubs. 

Along with all the Indian Super League Clubs, two I-League clubs, Inter Kashi FC and Gokulam Kerala FC will feature in the tournament, which will run till May 3, 2025. With a maximum capacity of 15,000 for the spectators, Kalinga Stadium is going to be the next destination for the fans around the country to witness some thrilling performances of their clubs. 

Here is a look at the top 10 players to watch out in Kalinga Super Cup 2025:

Sunil Chhetri (Bengaluru FC)

Never write off the legend when he takes the field. Sunil Chhetri has shut down his critics with his brilliant performance in the recently concluded Indian Super League. The 40-years old forward scored 14 goals in 28 appearances for his club. He also remained the top Indian goal scorer in the league.   

The former Indian captain, will be a huge threat for his opponents, not just with his playing ability but also with his tactical decisions on the pitch during the match. In the round of 16 during Kalinga Super Cup 2025, his club is going to face the I-League club Inter Kashi FC.

Lallianzuala Chhangte found it difficult to maintain his form throughout the ISL 2024-25. Still he has scored six goals and has provided 2 assists in his 24 appearances. With a passing accuracy of 82% he has 564 successful passes under his name. The forward has also created 30 chances throughout the league. 

On his day, Chhangte can outclass any opponent with his skills and agility. He will surely look to improve his performance in the upcoming Kalinga Super Cup 2025 where they are going to face Chennaiyin FC in their first match.

The left-back and skipper of Mohun Bagan Super Giant will always remain the man to watch out for while the ISL Champions take the field at the Kalinga Stadium during Kalinga Super Cup 2025. His guidance on the field and unmatchable presentation of skill has been a differentiating factor for the MBSG. 

Subhasish Bose not just remains a strong pillar at the backend but also makes tactical movements towards the front end to take charge of the game. He has also scored 6 goals in the season. Not just MBSG fans, even the local fans in Bhubaneswar will make a point to witness his game at the stadium.

The 23-years old player of Odisha FC has been one of their prolific players at the front end in the last two seasons. In ISL 2024-25 Isak provided five assists in 20 games, which is most by any Indian player in the season. 

In addition to it, the midfielder has also scored three goals. With 378 successful passes, he has created 16 chances for his side. He has also won 66 duels during his stay on the pitch. With Kalinga Stadium being the home ground of Odisha FC, players like Isak will look to take advantage of it and give their best on the field during Kalinga Super Cup 2025.

Korou Singh just got 17 matches to represent his club in ISL 2024-25. In 1256 minutes on the ground, he has scored two goals and has provided 4 assists to his side. Although, it is uncertain about Kerala giving him a match at the Kalinga Super Cup 2025, if they do so, then every eye, whether it’s the fans or the national selectors, shall watch the youngster’s progress along the pitch. 

With 77% passing accuracy, the forward has 322 successful passes under his belt in this season. He has also created 15 chances for his side and has provided 11 key passes. 

Vishal Kaith (Mohun Bagan Super Giant)

Vishal Kaith has immensely improved his game in the last few months. He has also been awarded with the Golden Glove Award in the recently concluded season of ISL, which included 15 clean sheets. 

Even his recent form gained him a spot in the national team, where he represented the nation in two back to back matches. It will be interesting to watch his game during the Kalinga Super Cup 2025, while his team will also be filled with confidence after the ISL Championship. 

Gurpreet Singh Sandhu (Bengaluru FC)

This name in the list might surprise some but Gurpreet has been one of India’s most celebrated goalkeepers over the years. His recent decline in form has resulted in his exclusion from the national side. 

He is having a decent season so far, where he has 8 clean sheets, which included 82 saves in 26 matches. He will undoubtedly aim at improving his game and attract the selectors to get him into the team following Kalinga Super Cup 2025.  

Jithin Madathil Subran (NorthEast United FC)

NorthEast United FC’s Jithin is another player who had some impactful performances in ISL 2024-25. In 22 appearances for his side, he scored 2 goals and provided two assists. His best performance was against FC Goa where his only goal helped his team to draw the match. 

Although he requires a bit of improvement in his passing ability, still he has created 41 chances for his side and provided 36 key passes during his tenure on the pitch in this season. 

Irfan Yadwad (Chennaiyin FC)

The young player of Chennaiyin FC made a name for himself in the recently concluded ISL. The centre-forward not only scored five goals for his side, also provided four assists. His best performance was in the match against Jamshedpur FC where he scored a goal and provided two assists. 

In 24 appearances and with 1955 minutes on the field, Irfan made 240 successful passes anc created 20 chances for his side. He also gave 16 key passes and made 19 successful dribbles. He will definitely be a match to watch out for in the upcoming Kalinga Super Cup 2025. 

Manvir Singh (Mohun Bagan Super Giant)

Another player of MBSG who will definitely remain a talk amongst the fans in the Kalinga Super Cup 2025 is Manvir Singh. He is also having a decent season in 2025. With six goals and six assists to his name, Manvir will look to create an everlasting impact on the pitch when his team move to grab another trophy this season. 

The midfielder has given 402 successful passes in the season so far and has also created 26 chances for his side. He has also won 129 duels and his 16 shots were rightly on target.
