Top five Al-Nassr players to watch out for in FC Goa clash

Al Nassr will be without talisman Cristiano Ronaldo against FC Goa.

FC Goa are set to face their biggest challenge of the 2025-26 AFC Champions League Two campaign when they host Al-Nassr in their next clash. It will be a huge test for Manolo Marquez’s side, who will need to produce something truly special to be able to get their first points on board in the AFC Champions League Two group.

Al-Nassr are one of the strongest teams in the AFC Champions League Two and a team that is flying high on confidence. They have won their last seven games and are sitting comfortably on top of the Saudi Pro League table as well as the AFC Champions League Two group.

Even though Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly won’t be travelling to India for this match, Al-Nassr are still going to arrive with a very strong squad. They have a number of glittering talents, both foreigners and Saudi Arabian players, who can cause major trouble for the Gaurs. Here we look at the five Al-Nassr players to watch out for in the upcoming FC Goa clash.

5. Angelo Gabriel

Angelo Gabriel has showcased his versatility under Jorge Jesus’ system at Al-Nassr, adapting to a more central midfield role. The Brazilian midfielder can play across both wings, but is being used in a more central midfield role by the gaffer this time around.

He’s quite a threat in that role, being able to use his creativity to move the ball forward into the key areas and maintain a fast-paced tempo to the build-up play.

The 20-year-old has had three goal contributions (one goal, two assists) in eight games so far, out of which one goal came in the AFC Champions League. He’ll look to continue his impressive form with a decisive showing against FC Goa, whose midfielders he’ll look to trouble with his incisive pressing, ball-winning ability and creativity.

Gabriel will need to be prolific with his decision-making to out the Gaurs’ players and bring more fluidity to Al-Nassr’s attacking movement.

4. Ahmed Yahya

Ahmed Yahya could come into the left-winger role for Al-Nassr against FC Goa because of the exclusion of Ronaldo from the squad.

The 24-year-old has been tried in multiple roles in the ongoing campaign, but is yet to really get going under Jorge Jesus. Yahya does not have any goals or assists in the 2025-26 campaign so far, but the FC Goa clash could potentially be the perfect one for him to bounce back from.

Yahya is an explosive figure who is capable of troubling defenders with his speedy movement, ability to get past defenders, and clever application in the final third.

He will just need to be more clinical with his final porudct to win over his gaffer, which Yahya can do by being a major creative force against Goa by perfectly delivering inviting passes into the final third. The 24-year-old will look to outwit the defenders using his unpredictable style and be ruthless in finishing off whatever comes his way in the upcoming match.

3. Sadio Mane

Sadio Mane is arguably the most decorated Al-Nassr player, who looks set to feature against FC Goa, considering how Ronaldo is sitting this one out. Mane won multiple major titles during his time at Liverpool and Bayern Munich, winning the Premier League and UEFA Champions League titles at Anfield.

Despite being 33, Mane is still going strong for Al-Nassr and has enjoyed a prolific start to the 2025-26 campaign.

Indeed, the Senegalese forward has scored four goals and provided five assists in nine games so far, which includes two goal contributions in two AFC Champions League Two matches. Mane has not lost the ruthlessness in his game after arriving at Al-Nassr and remains one of their most dangerous players.

He boasts an impressive ability to dart past defenders and is particularly threatening in the final third. Mane will need to nail his final third passes and his shots on goal to elevate Al-Nassr’s threat and help them dominate FC Goa.

2. Kingsley Coman

Kingsley Coman has hardly taken much time in adapting himself to his new environment after joining Al-Nassr from Bayern Munich in the 2025 summer transfer window.

He hasn’t lost any of his ruthlessness at all, managing nine goal contributions (four goals, five assists) in 10 appearances for the Saudi heavyweights so far. Coman is eager to continue his impressive form for Al-Nassr in the upcoming game against FC Goa, as he aspires to thrill fans in his visit to India.

Coman will be aiming to make good use of his blistering speed and dribbling ability to dart past defenders with ease and roam into the danger zones in the final third.

However, he will need to be pinpoint with his crosses and delivery into the box to set up big chances for his teammates. Moreover, Coman will also look to entertain the watchers by tricking his way past defenders to get into more goal situations to increase his goal tally for Al-Nassr.

1. Joao Felix

Joao Felix is arguably the most in-form player for Al-Nassr right now, and he has settled into the club absolutely perfectly since joining them in the 2025 summer window. The Portuguese forward has scored 11 goals in 10 games for the Saudi giants so far, which includes a hat-trick in their recent 5-1 thrashing of Al-Fateh.

Felix has, however, yet to really get going in the AFC Champions League Two and will look to add more goals to his tally in the continental competition in this upcoming match.

Felix is thriving in the second striker or centre-forward role for Al-Nassr, getting the utmost freedom from Jorge Jesus to trouble defenders with his unpredictable movement and trickery on the ball.

Felix is going to look to be a nightmare for the FC Goa defenders with his smart movement in the final third, where he’ll look to disrupt their defensive shape. The Portuguese ace will be craving for goals, but needs to be clinical in converting chances efficiently to inspire his side to a big win.
