Nivia are the current jersey manufacturer of Indian football team

The new jersey of Indian football team will officially be unveiled on 27th May, coinciding with India’s opening game at the Unity Cup 2026 in the UK against Jamaica. The Jersey reveal will mark a new chapter after the exit of Performax as the national team’s jersey manufacturer earlier this year as Nivia replaces Performax.

Although Nivia’s previous jersey for India has already been spotted across various Indian national teams matches in recent months, the official launch is set to be a different one compared to the previous Nivia jersey and provide fans with a closer look at the designs ahead of a packed international calendar for Indian football team for both men’s and women’s across all age groups.

Nivia era begins after the exit of Performax

When will the new jersey for the India national football team be revealed?

Nivia officially became the new kit manufacturer for the India national football team following the exit of Performax earlier this year. Over the last few months, Indian national teams across different categories have already been seen wearing Nivia kits, from the senior men’s side during the FIFA World Cup qualifier against Hong Kong, to the women’s team at the FIFA Women’s Series in Kenya, as well as various youth teams competing in AFC Asian Cup tournaments for both men and women.

However, the upcoming jersey unveil is expected to feature a fresh design compared to the version used so far by Nivia, with fans eagerly waiting to see what the new look will offer.

There is still uncertainty over whether the Indian women’s football team will wear the new kit during the SAFF Women’s Championship, which begins on 25th May, as the official unveiling is expected to take place two days later on 27th May, the same day the Indian men’s team start its Unity Cup 2026 campaign against Jamaica national football team.

It also remains unclear whether the new jersey has been specially designed specially only for the Unity Cup 2026 or if it will become the standard kit for all Indian national teams across all age groups going forward.

Well, we have already seen a lot of havoc around the jersey of the India national football team this year, and one such instance was when the India women’s football team were sent the wrong size of jerseys for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 in Australia, after which they had to play with a temporary arrangement using jerseys manufactured by Macron.

Well, it still remains unclear whether, during this incident, Nivia had already come in as the jersey manufacturer, or Performax was still associated with the team at that time. However, after this, Indian football teams, both men’s and women’s across various age groups, wore the Nivia jersey.

The previous jersey by Nivia received some mixed reactions from Indian football fans. Some liked the new design, while some fans were disappointed with it. With the new jersey unveil very close, there are a lot of expectations around the design that the Blue Tigers will wear for the Unity Cup 2026.
