Diamond Harbour FC have sealed promotion to the I-League.

As the 2024–25 I-League 2 season reaches conclusion on April 26, 2025, the promotion picture to the I-League for the 2025–26 season takes shape. With one matchday remaining, the final standings will earn two I-League 2 clubs promotion to the second division of Indian football, the I-League.

As things stand, the standings after 15 games suggest Diamond Harbour FC and Chanmari FC, have all but secured their spots in the second tier of Indian football. Let us look at how things have transpired for the two favourites for promotion.

Can Diamond Harbour FC record an invincible I-League 2 season?

The Kolkata-based Diamond Harbour FC have all but emerged as the champions of the 2024–25 I-League 2 season. Over the 15 league games this season, they have won 11 times while drawing on four other occasions, enroute to maintaining an impressive 14-match unbeaten run.

Their consistent performance all throughout the season has ensured their promotion to the I-League, as they recorded 37 points in 15 games.

Chanmari FC have surpassed all odds

The Mizoram-based club Chanmari FC have all but secured the second promotion spot, with 30 points in 15 games. The Mizoram club showcased a lot resilience and determination while winning nine games, drawing three games and losing three games.

Their notable 7–1 victory over TRAU highlighted their attacking prowess and was the epitome of the club’s ruthless and never-say-die attitude. With only one more game against KLASA FC remaining, and a four-point advantage over third placed Sporting Club de Goa.

With a final matchweek remaining, the I-League 2 standings appear to have reached the estimated final conclusion. As both clubs prepare for next season’s I-League action, they will be determined to leave a lasting impact.
