Indian football team to play Brazil, Chile, Venezuela in November

After the games in Brazil, AIFF will try to organise another four-nation tournament in India in December.
The Indian football team is all set to take part in an international senior women's tournament alongside Brazil, Chile and Venezuela in the last week of November, Khel Now can confirm. The All India Football Federation (AIFF) arranged the Blue team's participation in the four-team tournament, keeping in mind the AFC Women's Asian Cup which will happen in January 2022.
"India's senior women's team will play against Brazil, Chile and Venezuela in a tournament that starts later this November. The city of Manaus in Brazil will host the matches," AIFF General Secretary Kushal Das revealed to Khel Now.
He further added, "AIFF, along with the International Relations department are constantly communicating with various member associations to arrange such games for the national team. It is our endeavour to give our team the best possible preparation before the AFC Women’s Asian Cup, which will take place in India in another two months."
Former FIFA Women’s World Cup runners-up Brazil are at 7th place in FIFA Women’s Football Rankings, while Chile are on 37 and Venezuela on 56. India are currently at 57th place.
Preparations in full-swing
Khel Now further understands that the team have already started their preparatory camp for the upcoming tournament. The camp is being held in Jamshedpur and most of the players and staff have already joined. Some key names yet to join are Aditi Chauhan, Ritu Rani, Soumya Guguloth, Dangmei Grace, Manisha Kalyan, Dalima Chhibber and assistant coach Priya PV among others. However, they are all with Gokulam Kerala for their ongoing AFC Women's Club Championship 2021 campaign and will join the camp post November 13.

After the matches in Brazil, the AIFF will try to organize another four-nation tournament in Kerala in December. Kushal Das confirmed to Khel Now that the federation is currently working on it. The participating teams and fixtures will be revealed at a later date.

India's fixtures for the tournament are as follows:
- Thursday, November 25: Brazil vs India
- Sunday, November 28: India vs Chile
- Wednesday, December 1: India vs Venezuela
