Inter Milan vs Fiorentina City LIVE – Confirmed starting lineups & pre-match updates for Serie A 2026-27 clash
The last game between these two teams ended in a 1-1 draw.
Matchday eight of Serie A takes us to the San Siro, where Inter Milan will lock horns with Fiorentina in an intense clash.
The home side are coming into this game after securing a narrow 1-0 win against Shakhtar Donetsk in the UEFA Champions League. Inter Milan are top of the Serie A points table, with 19 points from their opening seven matches. The Nerazzurri will be looking to keep their momentum alive in the Italian top division.
Fiorentina, on the other hand, are currently placed in 18th place in Serie A. They have only won four points in their opening seven matches and currently find themselves in the relegation zone. Their last game ended in a disappointing 3-1 loss against Como at home. For their upcoming fixture, La Viola will be under pressure and will need a strong strategy away from home to survive.
Players to watch out for:
Marcus Thuram (Inter Milan)
The French striker will lead the line for Inter. He will have additional responsibility in the absence of Lautaro Martínez. Thuram is a physical specimen who is strong on the ball. Deployed as the main striker, he will be looking to trouble the opponents with his positioning.
He holds up the play well and allows his teammates to attack the spaces he creates.
Franco Mastantuono (Fiorentina)
Franco Mastantuono joined Fiorentina from Real Madrid on a loan deal during the summer. He has impressed the fans during his time in Italy so far. In seven appearances, the Argentine winger has scored three goals.
He is expected to have an amazing season with Fiorentina.
