The Spanish winger arrives from FC Goa after havving fallen out of favour with the Gaurs.

Indian Super League outfit Delhi Dynamos have completed the signing of Spanish midfielder Manuel Arana from FC Goa on a loan deal till the end of the season. Manuel Arana will replace Guyon Fernandez, who was released by the club.

Arana who primarily operates from the right-wing position will add more steel to the Dynamos side, who are vying to end the season on a top notch. Dynamos are currently placed at the bottom of the table with just 7 points from 12 matches.

33-year old Arana made 10 appearances for FC Goa in the ISL this season, scoring thrice and assisting on two occasions. The winger was also on target when Goa beat the Lions 5-1 earlier in the season.

Despite playing 10 games, he didn't get enought time to play, and have featured only 313 minutes for the Gaurs. He was often used as a substitute by Lobera. The Spaniard will now have to command the wobbly midfield of Dynamos, who're already out of the battle for top four spots.

A product of the Real Betis youth system, Arana made his professional debut with Spanish side CD Castellon. He then went onto represent the likes of Rayo Vallecano, Mallorca, Racing and Recreativo – racking up more than 200 appearances and 40 goals to his name.

The winger has also plied his trade in the A-League and the Asian Champions League with Australian side Brisbane Roar.

The club meanwhile has parted ways with forward Guyon Fernandez. The 31-year old Dutch attacker was in-charge of the teams' attack. The former Perthy Glory attackers was high during the teams' pre-season, and was expected would score goals.

Born in the Netherlands, Guyon went onto represent Curacao at the International stage, where he was part of the squad that played in the 2014 Carribean Cup and was called up by the then head coach Patrick Kluivert for the World Cup Qualifiers.

The striker started his professional career with ADO Den Haag back in 2007, before joining the likes of Excelsior, Feyernoord, NAC Breda in the Dutch top division and Perth Glory in the Australian League.

Fernandez failed to impress for the Lions

However, Guyon failed to turn things around for Delhi Dynamos, despite coach Miguel Angel Portugal providing him time to establish himself and become an integral part of the squad, he scored just two goals, a pathetic figure from an attacker.

With a playoff spot an impossible task for the club from the capital city, the Lions decided to release Guyon, and sign Arana in the hope that better performances in their remainder of the fixtures will help the team qualify for the much-awaited Super Cup which is scheduled to take place this year.

Delhi Dynamos will take Chennaiyin FC on tonight's clash, elsewhere, FC Goa will face the Chennaiyin side in their next game, scheduled to take place on 15th.
