(Courtesy : ISL Media)
The duo put in starrinhg performances on the road as the Gaurs made it to make it to the top four.
A brilliant show of force by FC Goa vanguard forced Jamshedpur FC to a disappointing 0-3 defeat on Sunday night. The game saw both the goalkeepers going out after receiving red cards, however, Goa managed to keep their lead intact as they went through the Indian Super League (ISL) playoffs with ease.
Watch: Jamshedpur FC 0-3 FC Goa highlights
Let's check how did the domestic players do in the fixture last night.
Jamshedpur FC
Subrata Paul- NA
Watch: Subrata Paul was sent off early in the game against FC Goa
It was a terrible start for the home side in a virtual knockout game as goalkeeper Subrata Paul’s awful decision-making saw him last only 7 minutes in the game. The ‘Indian Spiderman’ handled the ball while charging out of the box in a bid to deny Goa’s Ferran Corominas from scoring easily.
Yumnam Raju- 5.5
It was not a satisfactory performance from the Manipuri defender as he could not do much to stop the free flowing FC Goa attack; managed to clear a few dangerous attempts by the opposition.
Souvik Chakrabarti- 6.0
Put in a full shift in the defence similar to his Indian teammate at left back; charged into the FC Goa half on a few occasions and fed in delicious through balls but without any success.
Bikash Jairu- NA
It was a seven-minute stay on the park for Bikash Jairu as Jamshedpur FC coach Steve Coppell sacrificed him, bringing in backup keeper Sanjiban Ghosh to replace Subrata Paul who saw red.
Jerry Mawihmingthanga- 6.0
The 20-year old Mizo forward had an average outing last night. He was nowhere near his own best as keeping possession was a tough ask; wasted some brilliant crosses and could do much.
Farukh Choudhary- 5.5
Didn’t have a decent game to finish the season with. Put in a full shift but struggled to see much of the ball. Choudhary was unable to pass the ball cleanly most of the times.
Sanjiban Ghosh- 5.5
After Subrata Paul was red carded, Sanjiban Ghosh was called in to save Jamshedpur FC’s day. However, the steel men’s backup goalie couldn’t pull off any heroics as he conceded thrice and see his side’s playoff hopes ultimately blown off.

FC Goa
Naveen Kumar- 7.0
Watch: Naveen Kumar gets sent out after receiving a red card by the referee
Naveen Kumar put in a decent show between the sticks yesterday. He made a couple of decisive saves from Jamshedpur’s attempts on goal via Memo and Kervens Belfort. But a 75th-minute red card ended his game as he was found guilty of using his arm to negotiate the ball outside the box.
Seriton Fernandes- 8.0
The Gaurs would be mighty pleased with his fine show yesterday, both defensively and offensively. The FC Goa right back was sharp and agile in his defensive responsibilities and didn’t shy away from charging in at times. His nicely dug-in cross towards the far end found Ferran Corominas who tapped it into an empty net to make it 1-0 for FC Goa.
Chinglensana Singh- 8.0
The Manipuri defender was an absolute rock at the heart of the Gaurs’ defence. He didn’t do much wrong in his defensive duties; kept the Jamshedpur attack at bay. With a 91% pass accuracy and a full shift of hard work was enough for him to earn the ‘Emerging Player of the Match’ award.
Narayan Das- 7.5
Stood true to the FC Goa backline and extended much-needed support to the midfield when it came to pressing the game. Das made some quality blocks and tackles to deny the home side any sniff at goal.
Pronay Halder- 6.5
Formed a solid midfield partnership with Ahmed Jahouh while working the ball in and around; enabling link-up play. Had a decent game, made some vital tackles. Taken off in the 75th minute to allow Kattimani swap in for Naveen Kumar who got sent off.
Mandar Rao Desai- 6.0
There was not much on display from this FC Goa forward. Mandar was a bit rusty with his physical challenges that caught the referee’s attention during the game. He provided able support to Coro and Lanzarote as Goa booked their playoff berth in style.
Laxmikant Kattimani- 5.5
It was a relatively easy stroll on the park for Kattimani, unlike other matchdays. With 15 minutes of regular time left, Naveen Kumar’s silly foul saw Kattimani turn up to finish the game in goal for FC Goa. Jamshedpur, who were 3-0 down couldn’t do much to trouble him.

Came in for Seriton Fernandes in the 74th minute as Sergio Lobera decided to give some game time to his squad players. Shirodkar didn’t disappoint during his stay and worked the ball around nicely to help his side earn a rare clean sheet.
