The incident occurred during the Men of Steel's clash against the Lions before the international break.
The All India Football Federation (AIFF) Disciplinary Committee has suspended Carlos Calvo from Jamshedpur FC for passing racist comments against Gianni Zuiverloon of Delhi Dynamos in an ISL match on 12 December 2018. The ruling comes following a complaint against the Spanish player from the Delhi side. The suspension is understood to be a three-match ban with an additional ₹3 lakh fine.
Zuiverloon, Dynamos' Dutch defender and Calvo, Jamshedpur's Spanish winger were involved in a heated argument during the match. Following which Zuverloon allegedly elbowed the Jamshedpur winger. While heading to their respective dressing rooms, Calvo came back to him to hurl racist comments, following which Zuiverloon immediately complained to his team manager and the match commissioner.
Calvo was making racist remarks during the DDFC match. I'm really happy that he has a 3 match ban. I'm glad the ISL took this matter seriously. https://t.co/kv05ZyINf0

However, the committee believed that five matches would have been cruel towards the Spanish player and sufficed the sentence to three games. Although, no Dynamos representatives were available for comment, but it can be confirned that Jamshedpur are yet to receive any formal intimation of the verdict.
