From Jamshedpur’s end, head coach Cesar Ferrando shared his thoughts on the match. The Spaniard was evidently delighted with the final result but instead chose to focus on the next match. "Now, we will try to recover our players, this is the most important thing. We played really well. Now the most important match is Pune. We are going to try and have the best line-up against Pune. This is the only thing I am thinking at the moment," he said.
Jamshedpur put in a solid performance on the night, dominating possession and preventing Mumbai from taking a single shot on target. Speaking about the impressive defensive display, Ferrando said, "The most important thing is that we didn’t lose the ball in midfield. They finished the match without a shot on target. So, we have to be proud of the work put in by my team. We are a good team with the ball and without the ball, we are a normal team," he explained.

"In football, you must have a lot of respect for the other team. I think Jamshedpur fans must be really proud of their team. To win the match without Tim Cahill, Michael Soosairaj, Carlos Calvo is a very proud achievement. Right now, this is the most important thing," he added.
Mumbai head coach Jorge Costa, meanwhile, expressed his disappointment with how things panned out. "We should play better. We should have more confidence with the ball. From the first minute, it was difficult. They are very dangerous in free-kicks and corners. We must improve and do better things,” he said.
