The Bengaluru skipper had some really interesting things to say.
Bengaluru FC and the Indian National team winger Udanta Singh turned 22 today, a few days after the Blue Tigers won the Intercontinental Cup. Young and talented Udanta, with his extraordinary speed, earned many admirers during the Cup. The winger has most likely cemented his place in the first team after a series of outstanding performances and has emerged a crucial player for the national team.
Udanta has had a distinguished career so far in the I-League as well as the Indian Super League (ISL). He signed a professional contract four years ago in 2014 with Bengaluru FC, the reigning champions of the I-League.
On his birthday, Sunil Chhetri posted a video on Instagram, sending his regards to Udanta and praising him for his good physique. Chhetri, who has a good number of fan followers on various social media platforms, took up a challenge for himself.
The captain posted a video a few weeks ago pleading the fans to come and watch the national team play in the Intercontinental Cup. The video went viral all over the country and thousands of supporters turned out for the remaining games of the tournament. The captain received a huge support as he led the team to victory in the Cup.

Meanwhile, it is believed that the captain is a little shy when it comes to displaying his physique and is frequently mocked playfully by his fellow team-mates. Amongst those notorious ones is none other than Udanta and it is safe to believe it was the reason why Chhetri took up the challenge.
In the video, the captain greeted Udanta by calling him out as ‘a rock star’ and wished him a healthy and injury-free season ahead. He also praised the winger for his wonderful physique. “We all know that Udanta is super fast, extremely fit and ribbed”, said Chhetri.
In continuation, he said, “Today I take up a challenge as there is no training this month, to take care of my diet, won’t have cheat days and work out a little bit.”
“On 14th of July I will take a photo with you and post on social media”, said Chhetri quoting the challenge. The captain posted the video and captioned it as a gift to Udanta which he will receive a month from now.
