The likes of Lallianzuala Chhangte and Sarthak Golui also produced terrific performances for their respective sides.

With the mid-season break of the Indian Super League (ISL) closing in, all the teams are looking to give a late charge towards getting as many wins as possible towards the end. While Bengaluru FC look to be taking an unassailable lead at the top, the playoffs race is still tight due to some surprising results in the last gameweek.

There were some especially impressive performances from the domestic players, who are looking to impress before the AFC Asian Cup. Here’s our ISL Team of the Week for GW 11:

Farukh will lead the line, with Adil Khan playing the defensive midfielder role

Goalkeeper: Kamaljit Singh (FC Pune City)

Kamaljit had a week to remember for the Stallions, playing a crucial role in both their wins. The shot-stopper was as alert as ever against Kerala Blasters, making four crucial saves and six clearances to pile on their frustration. He turned up his performance-level against the more dangerous FC Goa, making some sensational stops to deny Ferran Corominas and Co. Kamaljit earned his two clean-sheets this week and proved himself to be India’s rising goalkeeper.

Right-Back: Reagan Singh (NorthEast United)

The NorthEast right-back looked sharp against ATK, doing well to neutralize their threat through the wings. He kept both Jayesh Rane and Hitesh Sharma quiet on the wings, preventing them from creating chances. Singh looked confident with his challenges, making five tackles and nine clearances, along with seven blocks to prove how impactful he was. Played a big role in earning a point for his side and attaining another clean-sheet.

Centre-Back: Joyner Lourenco (Mumbai City)

Despite having the intimidating task of containing the league’s most potent attack, Joyner Lourenco seemed unfazed by Bengaluru’s threat. He led by example at the back, thwarting almost all their attacks and keeping the Blues relatively quiet. Laurenco nullified Chencho Gyeltshen’s threat and also didn’t allow Sunil Chhetri and Co. to have many sniffs at goal. He made five tackles, eight clearances as well as three interceptions to shine through for his side.

Centre-Back: Sarthak Golui (FC Pune City)

Playing in a different position as right centre-back, Sarthak seemed to ravish his newfound role. He gave a solid performance against Kerala Blasters, making an amazing 12 clearances as well as four blocks and three interceptions. Golui tightened things up against Goa, making 10 clearances and six blocks to keep the fast-paced Gaurs quiet. He partnered Matt Mills really well and prevented many attacks from taking shape, while also improving his Asian Cup chances with two clean-sheets.

Left-Back: Ricky Lallawmawma (ATK)

Ricky has been keeping things tidy at his end

Turning into Mr. Dependable with each passing week, Ricky Lallawmawma gave another compelling performance against NorthEast United. He kept things tidy at his end, preventing the Highlanders from creating chances through his wing and keeping Redeem Tlang quiet throughout. The left-back made five tackles, six clearances and a few crucial blocks to nullify NorthEast’s persistent attacks and keep ATK from conceding.
