The NorthEast United head coach also revealed there will be a few changes in his side against ATK in their next game.
NorthEast United FC travel to play ATK as the Highlanders look to put an end to their poor run of seven games without a win. Meanwhile, ATK would look to grab all three points and reclaim the top spot in the table. NorthEast United are currently ninth on the standings, however , have seven games in hand and have a great chance of turning things around and finish at a higher spot at the end of the season. Ahead of the game, head coach Robert Jarni along addressed the media in the pre-match press conference.
Robert Jarni was asked about his hopes of making it to the playoffs as he said, “We have seven games, we are aware of the situation. If there is a little hope, we will always fight for that with the players.”

“Our players are doing a really good job, we have already prepared some replacements in the case that some of the players can’t play. All in all, all players are very good and well prepared,” Robert Jarni added.
The Highlanders have added a couple of new signings in the January transfer window - Andrew Keogh, who featured in the side’s previous match against Chennaiyin FC and Swedish midfielder Simon Lundevall, who is yet to make an appearance. Speaking about the new players, Robert Jarni sounded optimist.
[KH_ADWORDS type="4" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]“Andy is a really good player and we are very satisfied with him. Simon Lundevall came a couple of days ago, he’s still not adapted to these weather conditions, so he must adapt and we will see if he’ll adapt by the next match,” he said.
The 51-year-old had a statement to make when he was quizzed about how he would approach against ATK. “We will do everything that we can to win the match and in which way, you will see it," he said.
“Every team in this league can win. In this month we saw that almost every match had goals scored in the last five minutes which shows that you don’t know how it will end until the last minute. Everybody has the chance and everybody can win, it’s so unpredictable," Robert Jarni concluded.
