A five-star performance from ATK who get their campaign underway in style! This is their biggest win under Habas and they absolutely blew away a torrid Hyderabad FC with clinical, attacking football. The fans are absolutely buzzing having seen what just transpired and are celebrating widely with the players on the sidelines. Phil Brown just received a cruel reality check and must go back to the drawing board to figure out where to go from here. The Hyderabad FC fans definitely didn't want to watch this in their debut. ATK just made their intentions clear with this win. They are coming for the ISL title and are now favorites for a playoffs spot. This is Uttiyo Sarkar signing off for Khel Now. Thanks and Goodnight, Ladies and Gentlemen! 90+4' GOAL! GARCIA AGAIN! Das does really well to float in a perfect cross from the right which perfectly finds the Spaniard to tuck in from close. 5-0! 90+2' CLOSE! Halder does well to come inside the right wing and plays in a fancy flick behind to Thatal, whose shot blazes into Kamaljit's hands and out. 90+1' Five minutes of added time is announced, but this game is already over! Just a formality now 88' GOALL! EDU GARCIA GETS ON THE SCORESHEET! Halder does well to slot in a through-ball to allow Das to go into the box, and he perfectly finds the onrushing Garcia to tap in from close. 4-0! 87' Phil Brown sees a yellow-card for complaining about the refereeing. He really doesn't have anything to complain about after his side's performance today! 85' CLOSE! Prabir Das wins the ball in his own half and surges forward in an impressive run to Hyderabad FC's area, but his shot goes sailing over the post in the final third. 84' Komal Thatal makes his season debut with ATK, coming on for the goal-scorer Krishna. 81' Soosairaj is yellow-carded for time-wasting. As if that really matters right now! 80' Hyderabad FC look to have given up on mounting any kind of a come-back here. ATK have slowed down the game but look more intent on scoring despite the strong lead. 77' Well at least Barnes is back onto the field even though he doesn't look the most comfortable and is visibly hobbling. The game lost some of its steam with those successive knocks. 75' Giles Barnes is the latest to go down after landing awkwardly on his foot. Poojary is back but is struggling to move properly. Hyderabad coul be down to 10 men here if Giles can't make it back! As if there weren't enough problems. 73' Nikhil Poojary has picked up a bad knock after going down in teh ground. Meanwhile ATK put in a  dangerous corner which forces a good punch from Kamaljit. 72' CLOSE! Soosairaj goes for a long-ranger again and it's on target, forcing a strong save from Kamaljit. Soosai seems desperate for his goal tonight! 70' ATK make their second change as Javi Hernandez is taken off for Edu Garcia. That'll inject some energy and creativity into their attack now! 68' Hyderabad get a free-kick just outside the area, but Stankovic scuffs it right into the wall. Disappointing from the visitors! 65' Another half-chance for Hyderabad. Stankovic whips in a good ball through a corner which meets Barnes' head, but his attempt goes way over the post. 62' CLOSE! Williams plays in a dipping ball form the right-wing which isn't collected properly by Kamaljit and falls to Soosairaj, whose whipped shot is saved well by the Hyderabad FC captain. 60' Robin Singh is the latest to get booked after arguing with the referee over a foul. Frustrations are showing for the visitors here. 59' Edu Garcia is training on the sidelines for ATK. Could he come on to put on some extra fireworks to end the game on a bang? 57' Marcelinho is taken off from Hyderabad FC as Gani Ahhmed Nigam comes in for him. ATK also make their first substitution, as Pronay Halder comes in for Jayesh Rane. 55' Bit of a nervy moment for ATK there! Panwar pulls in a cross from the left which goes through many bodies, but Robin Singh can't get his foot to capitalize on it. 52' Marcelinho took abit of a blow and has to go off to the sidelines for treatment. ATK are looking renergized after a shaky start to the half but unable to create anything definitive so far. 49' CLOSE! The visitors finally create a decent chance as Ralte swings in an inviting cross which meets Barnes' head, forcing a good save from Arindam Bhattacharya. 48' Marcelinho swings in another corner from the left but nobody can put their heads throguh to it. Hyderabad really aern't helping themselves here. 46' ATK get the second half kicking and they'll be attacking through the left now. Hyderabad seem to have changed to a 4-3-3 formation with Nikhil Poojary coming into right-back and Barnes into the left-wing role. 8:34 PM: Hyderabad FC have made a change during the break. Laldanmawia Ralte comes on for Asish Rai. Things should get interesting now. HALF-TIME ANALYSIS: ATK blew over Hyderabad FC with their swift-breaks and counter-attacks in a dominant half of football. They've been rejuvenated by the Salt Lake crowd and their star strikers prove why they're so highly rated. David Williams broke Hyderabad's defensive line twice to score like a natural centre-forward, while Roy Krishna also got his account open with a superb strike. Hyderabad FC's defence has been open up easily by the creative Javi Hernandez on many occasions, while Jayesh Rane and Michael Soosairaj have surged forward with intent. The visitors have a mountain to climb in the second half and will need to come up with a spectacular come-back to salvage something on their league debut. We'll be back with 2nd half action in a bit! 45+2' CLOSE! ATK try to score once more before the half-time break as Soosairaj soars forward through the left after being sent through, but his pass to Williams is a poor one and the Aussie's shot hits a defender and goes out. 44' GOALL!! ATK MAKE IT 3-0! Jayesh Rane does well to send Williams through on goal and the Australian striker makes no mistake when one-on-one with Kamaljit inside the box. 43' Sahil Panwar gets booked for a rough tackle on Roy Krishna. The Fijian striker is down on the ground here and looks to be struggling after being struck on his upper-body. 41' ATK create a beautiful move from a counter-attack as Hernandez and Krishna play a delicate one-two allowing the Fijian to soar through on goal. But he can't keep his composure and loses possession in the final third. 39' Gurtej Singh went down into the mat after sustaining a bad fall from a challenge. This allows the players to get a quick drink break as they try keeping themselves energized in these difficult conditions. 37' The visitors finally get something done as a long-ball is played just outside the box to Giles Barnes, but his header is way wide of the target. The rain just got harder here in Kolkata! 35' CLOSE! Hernandez gets into the final third and again finds some space to take a powerful shot which is parried out by Kamaljit once again. 34' Hyderabad FC look to have changed their shape a bit to accompany a four-man defence. Sahil Panwarhas moved wide into a left-back role and Marcelinho is playing more to the right. 32' ATK seem to be happy with this lead and have taken some intensity of the game. Anas Edathodika goes down after being pumelled in a challenge from Robin Singh. 30' Hyderabad FC have been rocked by these two quick-fire goals from ATK and are looking to get something done here. Two defensive lapses allowed this to happen and now they have a mountain to climb to get back. 27' GOALLL! ATK DOUBLE THE LEAD! Williams receives the ball just outside the box and lays it to Krishna, who finds space outside the area and takes a powerful low shot which goes past Kamaljit and inside off the post. 2-0! 25' GOALLL!! WILLIAMS SCORES! Hernandez does brilliantly to thread through a through-ball to Williams, who gets behind the defence and cooly slots past Kamaljit. 1-0! 24' CLOSE! ATK work their way through the left again as Soosairaj plays a good ball into the middle to Krishna, who lays a ball for Rane to let rip. But his vicious attempt is parried off well by Kamaljit. 22' The rains are back and it's pouring heavily in the Sale Lake Stadium right now. Things will get even more difficult for the teams to work their way into creating chances now. 19' OFF THE POST! Michael Soosairaj finally gets some space to drift into the middle through the left and takes a shot which rattles off the bar. The fans have been woken up by that! 17' ATK again try to get something done in th final third, as Williams plays an intricate one-two with Hernandez allowing him to take a shot on goal, but it's too weak and collected easily by Kamaljit. 15' Rafael Gomez seems to have done his hamstring and has to be taken off. Marko Stankovic comes in for him. 13' Rane's been full of energy in the early game so far. He almost creates problems for Gurtej by pressing him high, but the defender does well to keep the ball away from him. 11' It's been a cagey encounter so far, as both teams have struggled to get behind each other's defence. Williams takes it upon himself to get something done and tries an ambitious shot from 30 yards out which is saved well by Kamaljit. 9' Near humiliation for Kamaljit there! He was passed a ball back by Rai, but his poor first-touch almost allows Williams to close him down, but the goalkeeper barely keeps himself from being robbed. 7' Hyderabad FC are trying to play through the wings, but have been unable to do anything so far. Marcelinho's successive set-pieces are also cleared out by ATK. 4' Roy Krishna is the latest to take a swipe from goal after coming deep into midfield, but his attempt deflects off a Hyderabad player outside. 3' Penalty call denied for ATK! Prabir Das was tripped inside the box after a good move through the right, but his shouts were waved off. 2' Jayesh Rane gets on the act quickly as he's played a good ball by Javi Hernandez in the middle and takes a shot which goes slightly wide. 1' AND WE KICK-OFF! The visitors get the game underway, attacking from the right to left. They seem to be fit in a 3-5-2 formation with Poojary as the left wing-back and Ashish Rai as the right wing-back. 7:25 PM: The teams are now making their way into the ground. We'll have the national anthem followed by the pre-match rituals before kick-off. Both teams are continuing with their passing drills as the conditions won't be an easy game for either. 6:55 PM It's a very gloomy evening here in Kolkata and it's been raining since Thursday. Antonio Lopez Habas Is Content With His Team “I have good players in the squad. We can use many players in the game. The structure doesn’t change for us. It’s not good for the team. We are a new team and we cannot say every day to change things around,” he said. Antonio Habas refused to put to light his impressive form at home with ATK, saying, “I don’t know as I saw the pitch today for the first time in 45 days. We’re in Kolkata and we are asking the fans to be part of the team. They are 20% of our winning chances. Football is about the fans. Phil Brown Feels ATK Deserved To Win Against Kerala Blasters “I thought to be honest ATK deserved something from the game, they haven’t got anything. There was a goal that was disallowed and a penalty decision which went against them,” he opined. “They could’ve scored many goals against Kerala That is something I have to focus on. They have players to create opportunities and score goals. That will affect the mentality of ATK. What we’ve been doing for the last six weeks is focusing on the players I have. It’s important to understand my group of players,” he added. Kolkata is a fantastic city and coming to visit a team which is historically successful. My big focus is on improving Hyderabad ad the players we have. We’re looking forward to our first game tomorrow,” Phil Brown further opined.
