The Spanish tactician also reflected on the reasons for his team's difficult season.

Jamshedpur FC’s final match of Indian Super League 2019-20 will be against league-leaders FC Goa at the JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur on Wednesday. The Antonio Iriondo-coached outfit faded after an electrifying start to the season and currently sit in eighth place with 18 points from 17 matches. While speaking in his last pre-match press conference of the campaign, Iriondo urged his players to treat the match as a special occasion and do their best for the club. “We are playing against the first team in the table. So, it is something special. There is a lot of things for the players to be motivated for ahead the match. There’s never a reason to waste the match,” said the Jamshedpur head coach. But, sometimes we have been close to victories. You can use that to not face the real problems of the team. We are aware of the problems. A football team needs to be fast in making decisions, facing problems and trying to fix things. So, hopefully, this will help the club to face the problems and try to get ready for the future.” “As this league is very short, you have to be very fast when you are facing a problem. All the teams have the same problem at some point. So, you have to be prepared and try to fix any situation that happens. Jamshedpur is a new club that has to get more experience. We have to be faster in finding solutions to the problem that we are facing during the season. Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn. This is a season for learning. After this season, everyone has to take their own conclusions and think about the best for the club,” hoped Iriondo. He said, “We weren’t able to achieve the goals that we thought we could get in the beginning. I’ve been thinking about it deeply and I think, me and my staff, we have done a few good things for the club. I have a lot of experience in football, but this was something special. I loved it here. I had a lot of good experience here. I met amazing people.” Meanwhile, midfielder Memo Moura, who was also at the pre-match briefing, thanked the contribution of all the coaches he has worked under at Jamshedpur. “I like all three coaches (I’ve played under at Jamshedpur). For me, it is a very good style. I tried to improve in the first season. I felt very good because I never had an English coach. After that, I had two Spanish coaches. I am very happy because I improved my football. These three coaches are for me the best. I have stayed in Jamshedpur and had three different coaches. I improved my football,” said the midfielder.
