The defender could also sign a permanent contract with Motherwell.

The money trail of Indian Super League has been grabbing the attention of many football players in Europe, with many Spaniards coming to India in search of greener pastures. Now, according to a report by The Sun, Bury's Tom Aldred could make a move to Kerala Blasters or Mumbai City.

According to the report, both the clubs are very keen on getting the defender's signature.

The 28-year-old is currently on loan, plying his trade for Scottish outfit Motherwell. It is being reported that Motherwell gaffer Stephen Robinson is interested in making his loan into a permanent move. But apparently, the money offered by ISL could be too tempting to ignore!

Aldred has been capped once by Scotland U-19. A Carlisle United product, the Scotsman has played for the likes of Stockport County and Blackpool. He has been pretty impressive for Motherwell this season, forming a stable partnership at the heart of defence with Charles Dunne.

Kerala Blasters have had a very poor domestic 2018-19 season, finishing at ninth position in the ISL table. Also, the club have had a very poor defensive record, conceding 28 goals in 18 matches. The club haven't really been able to maintain any defensive solidarity, with David James being replaced by Nelo Vingada at the helm. The likes of Sandesh Jhingan, Anas Edathodika and Nemanja Lakic-Pesic haven't been able to stop opposition attackers so far.

Meanwhile, Mumbai City had a terrific domestic season, finishing at third place, and qualifying for the ISL playoffs. Over the course of the 2018-19 season, the Islanders proved their defensive solidarity with some impressive showings, conceding 20 goals in 18 matches. The addition of Aldred could be good for the club, as it will further strengthen their defence, which already has the likes of Lucian Goian, and Subhasish Bose.
