The Croat rued a couple of injuries that his side sustained during the game.

The Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium played host to a league game after over a month, but the match ended in a dreary draw, as the hosts NorthEast United played out a 0-0 stalemate against Kerala Blasters. This was a very disappointing result for Robert Jarni and Co., as they have now dropped points in five consecutive games. The Highlanders’ Croatian head coach was in attendance at the post-match press conference where he answered questions from the media. [KH_ADWORDS type="3" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS] Incidentally, NorthEast United also went a fifth straight game without scoring a goal and Robert Jarni appeared bereft of answers, as the players have looked on the pitch. “Just as we discussed before the game, it is the same. We had excellent chances to score, particularly Nikhil (Kadam), who was injured just before the chance happened. So, he couldn’t shoot well.” Speaking further on the game, the tactician said, “We lost our synergy in the early part of the match. We didn’t get close to the opposition players and also didn’t maintain our positions well. So, we couldn’t control the game as we planned like against Mumbai," added Robert Jarni. On being asked if he would try out different tactics for these games, Robert Jarni said “We are thinking about it, as two of our players Provat (Lakra) and Nikhil are injured. So, we need to take a look tomorrow, as the next game (against Jamshedpur FC) is only a couple of days later.”
