The Islanders are yet to win a game after beating Blasters in their season opener this time last month.

NorthEast United FC’s unbeaten run rolled on for yet another game, as they held off a spirited Mumbai City challenge at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium on Wednesday evening. The neutral fan was in for a treat in the first half, as a wide-open game featured two goals each for both the sides, albeit they were a result of individual mistakes. However the game plateaued in the second half, as NorthEast United-Mumbai City threatened very less, rolling on to a 2-2 draw. Here’s how the Indian players on both the sides fared: [KH_ADWORDS type="3" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]

NorthEast United

Subhasish Roy- 5.5

Couldn’t do much about either goal. Other than that, he wasn’t tested that much apart from a couple of regulation shots on goal.

Reagan Singh- 6.0

Positionally, was solid, not letting Mumbai’s wingers have much space to run into. But, couldn’t quite contribute in an attacking sense, with his crossing mostly awry.

Nim Dorjee Tamang- 4.5

Played for the first time this season and looked visibly nervous. Was at fault for the second goal, when he missed his attempted clearance.

Rakesh Pradhan- 6.0

Was ambitious going forward, but was caught upfield for the first goal. Dealt well with Modou Sougou’s pace and trickery for most part of the game.

Milan Singh- 6.5

The central midfielder was at his hardworking best, constantly harrying opposition players with his pressing. But, wasn’t quite able to contribute much to building play in the middle of the park.

Redeem Tlang- 5.5

Didn’t quite get the service he would have liked. Started brightly, but was a peripheral figure for most parts of the game.

Substitutions

Lalthathanga Khawlhring- 5.0

Came on at the hour mark, but could do precious little to influence the outcome.

Nikhil Kadam- N/A

Not on long enough to deserve a rating. [KH_ADWORDS type="3" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]

Mumbai City FC

Amrinder Singh- 5.5

Couldn’t do anything about the first goal, an absolute rocket of a shot from Triadis. However, should have got a stronger hand to the shot from Gyan that led to the second goal.

Souvik Chakrabarti- 5.0

Poorly misplaced the pass to Triadis, that allowed him to smash home from outside the box. Had his moments defensively, but was occasionally shaky.

Pratik Chowdhary- 6.0

Duelled well with Gyan for the long balls and won a lot of headers. But, vacated a lot of space for the striker to run into the defensive third, take a couple of touches and smack home the equalizer.

Sarthak Golui- 6.5

Was the more comfortable of the two centre-backs and was composed in his passing. Led for his team with the most number of interceptions made. [KH_RELATED_NEWS title="Related News | ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW"][/KH_RELATED_NEWS]

Subhasish Bose- 7.0

Had a shaky start, but grew very well into the game. His movement on the left flank was impressive, constantly bombing upfield or dropping back to shore up defensively.

Rowllin Borges- 7.5

His return to the IGA Stadium was marked by an impressive performance at the base of the Mumbai midfield. He was constantly available for a pass and also recycled the ball well. Most of the tackles the Indian international made were well-timed and broke up play effectively.

Bipin Singh- N/A
