The Nizams are at the bottom of the table with just four points.
Odisha FC defeated Hyderabad FC by a margin of 3-2 in what was a brilliant encounter between the two new entrants in the Indian Super League. Phil Brown, Hyderabad FC’s manager spoke to the media after the game, where he explained what really went wrong with the team and how difficult it is to play games like these. Phil Brown started by saying, “The discussion on the game was probably, I would assume is that a great game for the neutral, certainly a great game for the ISL. Plenty of goals; there was plenty of action. If you would have said to me that we would have denied Odisha the possession that they had before the game, I would have thought that was a difficult task." [KH_ADWORDS type="3" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS] “But, we had a gameplan, we played through a system. We played with a team that played three days ago. So, there was a lot to admire about the performance. But, when you concede three goals and in the manner that we conceded them you know, the first goal was very unlike us. It was very sloppy from the corner. I don’t even know which part of the body it went in from." “Then we conceded the second goal just before half-time. When you are 2-0 down at half-time, it’s a difficult changing room to talk to with players. You know you are down and your confidence is low. The belief comes from within and if you have strong players that believe that they can climb that mountain then you have a chance. I thought we got a penalty that we deserved and the goal that we deserved." Odisha's Third Goal "It was starting to turn; the tide was starting to turn. Then for whatever reason, the third goal, I would like to see it in a video. I just cannot, I just cannot…the referee has not given it for a handball, he has given it for a foul. I am like, wow! Now, if you can tell me different, please do. Because I am not here to slate any referee’s decision, I am here to enhance the product of the ISL. [KH_RELATED_NEWS title="Related News | ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW"][/KH_RELATED_NEWS] “I think we made an effort tonight to play some good football. We had some good chances and we had more chances than the opposition. We kept a good side at bay for long periods of time. We've got to dust ourselves down and get on with it. We have a big game against ATK in 10 days." “You have no time to think about all this. But, there’s something to take away and we have got to stop giving stupid goals away; silly little goals. When you are at the bottom of a league table and the confidence is low, then these silly goals turn against you. We have got to believe that we can turn the tide, we can turn the corner.”Latest News
