Right-Back: Laldinliana Renthlei (Chennaiyin FC) Chennaiyin’s defensive unit had to be on their toes against an ATK team that has scored goals for fun. However, the visitors came up with the goods and among them, Laldinliana Renthlei was one of the star performers. His defensive display was commendable, as he was strong against the likes of the in-form Sumit Rathi and Roy Krishna. Centre-Back: Adil Khan (Hyderabad FC) Adil Khan looked in his comfort zone yet again after being employed as a centre-back. The India international led the defensive line effectively and almost scored a goal. His display was crucial in keeping Jamshedpur’s attackers at bay, as he went on to make 12 clearances and five crucial tackles. Centre-Back: Memo Moura (Jamshedpur FC) Memo Moura had a tough task at hand, which was to fill the shoes of club skipper Tiri and be the defensive leader in his absence. The Brazilian did a fantastic job at the back and had a decent overall game, making three clearances, interceptions and blocks each. Left-Back: Jerry Lalrinzuala (Chennaiyin FC) Owen Coyle’s style of play demands his full-backs to contribute in both attack and defence and that's why Jerry Lalrinzuala has excelled this campaign. He was yet again brilliant on both fronts, looked sharp on the ball and defensively astute, as he made four blocks and six clearances. He provided cover to the defensive line and was efficient in recovering loose balls and turning defence into attack quickly. The 22 year-old contributed with two assists, made five interceptions and created three scoring chances too, summing up a decent overall performance. Right Wing: Martin Perez Guedes (Odisha FC) Martin Perez Guedes put in an inspired display and scored the winning goal, helping his side secure an impressive comeback victory over NEUFC. The midfielder played out on the right flank and made several darting runs by cutting inside on his left foot, causing problems to the opposition. He also created two more scoring chances for his teammates. Left Wing: Nandhakumar Sekar (Odisha FC) Nandhakumar Sekar has been a consistent performer for Josep Gombau from the left flank and has troubled every opposition he’s come up against, with his curling crosses into the box. He contributed with an assist for Manuel Onwu’s equalizer and created three more scoring opportunities. Central Attacking Midfield: Hugo Boumous (FC Goa) Hugo Boumous has been as influential for the Gaurs as their indispensable skipper.
