Nishu Kumar netted a training ground goal of the utmost quality. Meanwhile, Mumbai City FC too picked up a narrow win against a depleted NorthEast United at home. A clever strike from Diego Carlos at the half-time mark was everything the Islanders needed for a victory. Then took place, what was hands down the game of the week between Kerala Blasters and Chennaiyin FC. Strikes from in-form duo Nerijus Valkis and Rafael Crivellaro gave the Marina Machans a comfortable lead at the break. However, Bartholomew Ogbeche single-handedly pulled the Blasters back into the game with a hat-trick. Unfortunately for him, Chennaiyin came with a win in their minds. And so, a brace from Lallianzuala Chhangte and another from Crivellaro ensured them the big victory.
