The 32-year-old scored seven goals and provided five assists in the club's title-winning campaign.
Australian ace David Williams has signed a one-year contract extension at ATK Mohun Bagan, the club announced on Tuesday. Williams was a key figure in attack for the team in their title-winning campaign last season.
"I am really happy to announce my contract extension. I loved playing for the club last season. Winning the title was a great feeling," he said after signing the papers. "I am determined to contribute towards taking our game up a level and making a serious push in the AFC Cup," he added.
David Williams along with his former Wellington Phoenix partner Roy Krishna joined the Kolkata outfit last season. The move turned out to be highly successful for the club as the duo set the competition on fire, scoring a flurry of goals between them. While Krishna finished as the joint-top scorer with 15 goals, David Williams registered seven goals while also providing five assists in 18 games. The partnership between the duo worked wonders for the Antonio Habas-led side and they will hope that it only continues to grow next season, with the Fijian already having signed an extension.
ATK recently merged with I-League and Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan in a historic move and will bow into the ISL as a new entity next season. With the club having qualified for the AFC Cup group stage, Indian football fans are hoping that they progress into the latter stages of the competition.

Krishna, Prabir Das, Pritam Kotal, Jobby Justin, Carl McHugh and Edu Garcia have all pledged their future to the club for the upcoming season. In addition, Sk Sahil, Manvir Singh and Subhasish Bose have come through the door.
