The Englishman expressed his views ahead of the clash against Bengaluru FC on Tuesday.

"It's not all about a single player when all players are missing chances. We want to score goals and are trying to work and rectify them. Players don't go out with a plan to miss chances," said SC East Bengal head coach Robbie Fowler in the pre-match press conference ahead of the clash against Bengaluru FC in the Indian Super League on Tuesday.

Missed chances

"The problem is as far as I'm concerned, not with our players," he added, when asked about the increasing number of chances missed by his side.

Further, speaking about young forward Harmanpreet Singh, Robbie Fowler supported him despite him missing a few clear-cut chances on some occasions. "He has missed few chances, but as you know he is a young kid growing and developing his game. He is doing everything he can and is getting chances. I am hopeful he will score a couple soon. He's trying to get in places where he can get chances," said the Englishman as he praised Harmanpreet Singh. "So Harman is doing great and he has been brilliant."

Target for upcoming games

Quizzed about his target from the upcoming matches, the tactician said, "The target is to win the next game. If we can't win this one, we will try to win the next one that's how football is played."

Expressing his thoughts on the upcoming encounter, the coach said, "It's a good game looking at the table. Bengaluru will have the same chances as us to win the game and bag full points."

Chances of qualifying for playoffs

The Kolkata giants are currently second last in the league table with just 13 points from 14 matches. Thus, the BFC encounter is technically the last chance for the Red and Gold to climb the table. While speaking on this Fowler seemed quite calm as he said, "the results obviously decide but we will keep trying till it gets mathematically impossible for us to get into the top four". as he signed off.
