The Mariners' custodian won the Golden Gloves in the ISL last season.

ATK Mohun Bagan goalkeeper Arindam Bhattacharya, who won the Golden Gloves in the last Indian Super League season has been linked with several clubs recently. The chatter poured in mainly because the Mariners have roped in former Mumbai City FC custodian Amrinder Singh for a hefty fee.

The Punjab-born custodian guided the Islanders to first winning the ISL League Winners' Shield and then also grabbing the title in the final. Hence, this was the biggest signing in the league this off-season. Amrinder has been exceptional between the sticks for a few years now and with him joining ATKMB, there were questions over Arindam's future.

Therefore the 32-year-old has been linked with moves to Kerala Blasters and several other ISL clubs. But, Arindam Bhattacharya has recently come up with a tweet where he has rubbished all the reports in media. He also added that he would like to honour his contract with ATK Mohun Bagan which runs till the end of the next season.

Arindam Bhattacharya featured in all 23 matches for the Mariners last season and had a stellar campaign. He came up with match defining saves to keep Antonio Habas' men in the game. He also got great help from a backline that had players like Sandesh Jhingan, Tiri and Pritam Kotal. The 32-year-old pulled off a total of 59 saves with a save percentage of 75.64.

Despite a solid season where he won accolades for his goalkeeping, the experienced custodian crumbled under pressure in the final. Right at the last minute, he came out of his lines misjudging a long ball as Bartholomew Ogbeche dribbled past him and found Bipin Singh in space who confidently slotted it home. Therefore a season where he was consistent throughout did not end the way he would have liked.

However with Amrinder in the team, the 32-year old will have to show his magic yet again next season to keep his place in the starting lineup.
