Ratings: Vikram, Brad Inman help Mumbai City topple Chennaiyin FC
(Courtesy : ISL Media)
The duo came off the bench and combined well to get the Islanders three points and end seven-game their winless run.
Vikram Pratap Singh had the final say on the night, as Mumbai City FC overcame a stubborn Chennaiyin FC to pick up three crucial points at the Fatorda Stadium.
The winger scored five minutes before time to win it for the Islanders. Chennaiyin lacked clinical quality and seemed to never get out of second gear. Mumbai, on the other hand, showed good quality and value for their win as they kept digging and eventually found their reward.
The win took Mumbai City to the fifth spot, with 22 points and in the hunt for the playoffs, while Chennaiyin FC continue to loiter in seventh, with 19 points.
Here is Khel Now's Player Ratings from the match.

Chennaiyin FC (by Kaushik G Viswanath)
Debjit Majumder - 6.0
The Chennaiyin FC goalkeeper was tested on sporadic occasions on the night. He made four saves.
Ariel Borysiuk - 6.0
The Pole impressed, having deputized for the injured Sajid Dhot in the three-man defence. He defended well and recycled possession from the back. But, he was guilty of not spotting Vikram Pratap in the far corner for the eventual winner.
Slavko Damjanovic - 6.0
Led from the front once again in defence. Kept Igor Angulo and the rest of the Mumbai attack quiet as well for the whole night.
But, couldn't prevent his side from conceding. Won both his attempted tackles, made six clearances and three interceptions. He also blocked one shot. Was taken off in the 90th minute.
Narayan Das - 5.0
Faced plenty of trouble against Chhangte. He completed 64% of his passes and made three clearances. His lack of coverage also led to Brad Inman finding space on the right to put Vikram Pratap through to score the winner.
Ninthoi Meetei - 6.5
Put in a good shift on the right flank, but was erroneous on multiple occasions. Completed only 42% of his passes and made five crosses. He created one chance and made five interceptions.

Suhail Pasha - 5.5
He was decent in midfield and completed 87% of his 15 attempted passes. But, he couldn't match up to the intensity of the opposition at times. Suhail was taken off in the 70th minute. He made one clearance and two interceptions. He also clocked the highest speed by any CFC player.
Germanpreet Singh - 5.0
He got caught in possession and was slow on the ball, giving Mumbai City room to press in on the Chennaiyin FC backline. Struggled in transition play as well. Germanpreet completed 77% of his passes, having attempted only 22 on the night. He won one tackle and made two interceptions.
Anirudh Thapa - 6.5
Ran himself to the ground, but found it difficult to match up to the quality of Ahmed Jahouh in midfield. He had the most touches (72) by any CFC player and completed 79% of his passes. He made three crosses and created one chance.
Jerry Lalrinzuala - 5.5
Once again struggled to contribute upfront, but was solid in defence. Created one chance and completed 83% of his passes. He won four tackles (the highest by any Chennaiyin FC player) and made two clearances.
Lukasz Gikiewicz - 4.5
Once again disappointed, contributing very little to the attack. He also fluffed two glorious chances to score, including one in the final moments.
Gikiewicz seems to contribute more to the defence than attack, which places questions on his quality upfront. He won both his attempted tackles and made three clearances. He completed only eight passes at an accuracy of 44%.
Nerijus Valskis - 4.5
Didn't get to contribute a lot. He won one tackle, made two clearances and one interception. The fact that Chennaiyin took only four shots is a testament to the lack of service and opportunities that he had on the night.

Substitutes
Rahim Ali - 4.5
He came on for the final 25 minutes of the game. Didn't do any better than the existing midfielders. He had only five touches and completed three passes.
Mirlan Murzaev - N/A
Came on in the final few minutes, so didn't have a lot of time left to contribute something to a losing cause.
Mumbai City FC (By Riddhiman Sarkar)
Mohammad Nawaz - 5.5
Had to cover for Fall’s misguided back-pass and got a yellow card in the process, as he slid outside the box while holding the ball. Kept out one genuine chance at the death and made one clearance.
Rahul Bheke - 6.0
Often found himself chasing Valskis, but caught up with the attacker every time. Saw plenty of the ball, with 61 touches and won three ground duels out of seven.
Mourtada Fall - 5.5
Looked shakier than his teammates in defence, as he went to ground more than once and made a potentially dangerous mistake. Won his only ground duel and made two interceptions.
Mehtab Singh - 6.0
Vigilant outing from the centre-back, as he kept the likes of Valskis and Lukasz under wraps. Blocked one shot and made five clearances, as he helped preserve Mumbai City’s clean-sheet.
Mandar Rao Dessai - 6.0
Looked to be rather dull in attack, but made up with his defensive contributions. Made two tackles and won five out of his seven ground duels.

Lalengmawia Apuia - 6.5
Regulated the midfield alongside Jahouh, completing 75% of his passes as five of his nine long balls found their target.
Ahmed Jahouh - 6.5
Looked a rejuvenated figure in the middle of the park, as he controlled play with his pinpoint deliveries. Generated one key pass and 12 out of his 17 long balls were accurate.
Lallianzuala Chhangte - 6.5
Mumbai City’s brightest attacker, as he made some brilliant runs into the Chennaiyin FC defence. Came off in the 87th minute for Vinit Rai, after completing one of his two take-ons and getting 35 touches on the ball.
Cassinho - 6.0
His dribbling prowess was at the fore of his qualities on display. Created two key chances, as he went off for Diego Mauricio in the 64th minute.
Bipin Singh - 6.0
Energetic work down the flank saw the winger get one of the chances of the match, as he missed the far post by a whisker. Replaced by Vikram Pratap Singh in the 64th minute, after having gotten 17 touches on the ball.
Igor Angulo - 6.0
Dropped deep into a false nine role often, to cause problems for Chennaiyin FC with his immaculate link-up play. Missed a golden opportunity to give Mumbai City the lead, as Damjanovic stepped in just in time.
Teed up Bipin with another beautiful ball, but the winger shot wide of the far post. Subbed off for Brad Inman in the 82nd minute, after he got five shots on goal and had a 100% passing accuracy.

Clinical performance, as the youngster caught Inman’s cross well and finished into the bottom corner to give Mumbai City the lead. Managed to get only three touches and score.

Whipped a good cross into the box to tee up Vikram for Mumbai City’s opener. Impressive considering he only had four touches on the ball
