Ratings: Brown hat-trick help NorthEast United draw against Mumbai City
(Courtesy : ISL Media)
The Jamaican striker is only the second player to score thrice in a game this season in the Indian top-flight.
NorthEast United and Mumbai City FC scored three goals each to share points at the Fatorda Stadium in the Indian Super League (ISL) on Monday. Deshorn Brown scored a brilliant hat-trick for the Highlanders while Igor Angulo scored a brace for the Islanders.
Among Indians, Imran Khan got two assists for NorthEast United while Bipin Singh scored the second goal of Mumbai City. Let's find out how did the other players perform on Monday evening.
NorthEast United FC (by Shivam Tiwari)
Mirshad Michu (GK) - 4.0
The custodian began the game brightly. He saved Ygor Catatau's header in the second minute, denying him the chance of giving Mumbai the lead. However, things took a poor turn as time went on, and the goalkeeper failed to prevent any of the three defendable goals.

Tondonba Singh - 6.0
Tondonba had a comparatively better game than his team's right-back. He managed to keep his side of the pitch quiet until the second half. Catatau beat him on pace that allowed Angulo to receive the cross and score Mumbai's third goal.
Hernan Santana - 5.0
The defender held onto the ball longer than he should have several times in the game, leading to dispossessions in dangerous positions. He was also out of his position many times, most notably on the second and third goals of Mumbai City FC. He, however, was crucial for the progression of the ball for the Highlanders.
Patrick Flottmann - 6.5
Flottmann froze during Mumbai's move for the second goal. An active Patrick could have helped the Highlanders defence there. Otherwise, the Australian 24-year-old centre-back was his side's best defender on the pitch.
Provat Lakra - 5.0
Lakra, similar to his goalkeeper, started the game very well. He managed to nullify Bipin Singh's impact on the left side of the pitch until the pass that had Bipin break North-East's offside trap and put in the cross for Mumbai's opener. He was then dribbled past by Bipin for the Indian winger's second goal contribution.
Imran Khan - 8.5
Imran's creative passing and vision were on display in the game. His cross for Deshorn Brown's first goal and then the Jamaican's chip would be the best move of the game. Imran could have had three assists, had the receiver of one of his crosses from the right controlled the ball well in the box. He finished the game with two assists.
Sehnaj Singh - 7.0
Sehnaj started the move for the Highlanders' opener as he found Imran on the wide left through his pass. The former Mumbai City FC midfielder was flawless with the passes throughout the game. He finished the game with a passing accuracy of 93%.
Pragyan Gogoi - 6.0
Pragyan was troubled a lot by the Mumbai forwards. Frustrated, the 22-year-old midfielder put in some reckless challenges in the game. His foul on Ygor Catatau earned him a place in the referee's books.

Mathias Coureur - 6.0
Coureur missed what could have been the winner for the Highlanders in the dying minutes. His one-on-one attempt against Nawaz was poor. He was, otherwise, not very involved in his team's attack against the Islanders.
Deshorn Brown - 9.5
Brown's three goals made him only the second player to score a hattrick in the ISL this season. The Jamaican was at his very best with his finishing and passing and could have had an assist if Coureur were a bit sharper in the one-on-one duel. Nevertheless, Brown would be satisfied with a perfect outing for him.
Suhair VP - 6.0
It was a relatively quiet outing for Suhair. He was involved in a great team effort on the 25th minute, but Lakra's eventual cross failed to reach Coureur. He had two shots and created one chance.
Substitutes
Rochharzela - 6.0
Chhara wasn't an upgrade over Suhair as he struggled to create anything for him or his teammates in the game. Largely anonymous on the pitch during the second half, Chhara had just one shot on target - a loose attempt.
Mohammed Irshad - N/A
He came on the 85th minute of the game.
Manvir Singh - N/A
He came on in the 90th minute of the game.

Mumbai City FC (by Riddhiman Sarkar)
Mohammad Nawaz (GK) - 6.5
Couldn’t do anything about either of Deshorn Brown’s goals. Claimed Santana’s shot with cat-like reflexes to keep NorthEast from drawing level in the second half. Decent outing from the custodian as he made six saves.
Amey Ranawade - 6.5
The high-flying fullback was defensively sound as he kept a close check on NorthEast United’s wingers. Influential in attack as he almost made the most of a gilt-edged chance in the final 10 minutes but was flagged offside.
Rahul Bheke - 5.5
Combined well with Mehtab to keep Northeast at bay as the Islanders went into half-time with a one-goal lead. Misjudged an aerial ball and failed to communicate with Nawaz as he gifted Brown a hat-trick. Missed his only chance in attack from three-yards out.
Mehtab Singh - 5.5
Mehtab also had a shaky outing, similar to other Mumbai City defenders. Could not close down Brown for Northeast’s opener and faltered once again in the second half as he got outmuscled for Brown’s second.
Mandar Rao Dessai - 6.0
Left Brown a good few yards of space to run in behind the area between him and Mehtab. Could only manage one tackle and one block during a disappointing night as he was taken off for Vignesh Dakshinamurthy.
Apuia Ralte - 6.5
Constantly under pressure from NorthEast as one of the two deep-lying playmakers for Mumbai but handled it well. Repaid Buckingham’s continual faith in him as he covered nine kilometres throughout the game and got a whopping 91 touches on the ball.

Ahmed Jahouh - 6.5
The tireless Moroccan playmaker showcased his laser-guided passing once again as he floated in an excellent ball towards Catatau in the first minute to get a header on goal. Completed 75 out of his 99 passes and amassed a total of 128 touches on the ball.
Ygor Catatau - 7.0
His goal-bound header was saved in the second minute and he followed it up by demonstrating his excellent qualities as a target man. Managed a total of two shots on target with his hold-up play and had a very good defensive work rate as he made two tackles. Set up Angulo for Mumbai’s third of the night with a sublime pass. Went off for Gurkirat Singh in the 91st minute.
Cassinho - 6.5
Linked up well with Catatau to get his first shot of the night, as it was blocked and turned out for a corner. Kept creating dangerous half-spaces with his exquisite close control as he completed five out of his six dribbles.
Bipin Singh - 8.0
Teed up Angulo with a good cut back inside the box and got himself on the scoresheet with an early shot from Angulo’s pass. Electrifying runs would have earned him a second goal as his thunderous shot was tipped magnificently by Mirshad. Substituted off for Raynier in the 73rd minute after completing 78% of his passes.
Igor Angulo - 8.5
Mumbai’s fox-in-the-box was at the forefront of their attacks once again as he got two goals and one assist. Got his first of the night as he judged the goalkeeper’s position and deftly finished from Bipin’s ground cross. The Spaniard shortly turned provider for the Indian winger later on in the first half. Got his second of the night as he ascended to the top of the ISL Golden Boot table.

Substitutes
Raynier Fernandes - 6.0
Almost got his first assist after coming on as Cassinho misheaded his cross by the slightest of margins. Made one key pass.
Vignesh Dakshinamurthy - 6.0
The left-back marked his return to ISL action for Mumbai City by winning his only ground duel.
Gurkirat Singh - N/A
Too little time to make an impact as he managed only four touches on the ball.
