Ratings: Ogbeche stars as Hyderabad breeze past NorthEast United
(Courtesy : ISL Media)
The 37-year-old scored a brace to become the league's all-time leading scorer.
NorthEast United locked horns with table-toppers Hyderabad FC at the Fatorda Stadium. Much like expected, Manolo Marquez's men continued their form to annihilate Khalid Jamil's side 5-0 -- scoring the same number of goals as their first meeting this season. Bartholomew Ogbeche opened the scoring in the third minute, while Edu Garcia concluded it in the 88th minute. With this, NorthEast United remain 10th in the standings, in what's shaping out to be one of their worst seasons, while Hyderabad FC move four points clear at the top, albeit having played two more games.
Ogbeche, who entered this game needing one goal to go level with Sunil Chhetri and Ferran Corominas as the highest goalscorers in ISL history, scored a brace to become the all-time leading goalscorer in the competition. Akash Mishra, Nikhil Poojary and Edu Garcia scored the other goals as Hyderabad piled the misery on NorthEast United, whose playoffs hopes are now virtually over.
Take a look at the player ratings of both teams.
NorthEast United FC (by Ujyant Ramesh)
Subhasish Roy Chowdhury - 5.5
Despite the five goals conceded, the skipper did make three saves as well, thereby preventing what would've been a much worse scoreline. Otherwise, much like most of his side, he had one of his worst nights of the season.
Provat Lakra - 5.0
Picked up what looked like a minor knock in the 12th minute. Apart from that, he was quite active on the right flank, making multiple runs upfront as well as some interceptions to neutralize Hyderabad's attacking efforts. However, he was pretty sloppy in his passing and ball retention, as a result of which he was substituted in the second half.
Patrick Flottmann - 5.0
Couldn't really do much for Ogbeche's acrobatic opener. Though he did mark the Nigerian well, the goal felt virtually unpredictable.
Zakaria Diallo - 5.0
Missed a chance in the 13th minute from a tight angle on the left, as he shot it a bit too high. Defensively, he made 10 recoveries and some important clearances, interceptions.
Gurjinder Kumar - 5.0
Picked up his third yellow card of the season, after a foul from a dangerous position just outside the box on Nikhil Poojary in the 58th minute. The resultant free-kick taken by Joao Victor led to Hyderabad FC's third goal via Bartholomew Ogbeche.

Mohammed Irshad - 4.5
Felt like the weakest link in midfield, under-performing his defensive midfield role with only a single clearance and interception throughout the game.
Sehnaj Singh - 5.0
Clashed with Akash Mishra in the 15th minute. Made a brilliant clearance in the 47th minute to stop Aniket Jadhav's shot from inside the box — only for Akash Mishra to score off the resultant corner.
VP Suhair - 5.5
Almost scored the consolation goal with a sensational finish, after Pragyan's initial crossbar hitting strike in the 71st minute, but it was deemed offside. Otherwise, had quite an underwhelming night with some poorly timed runs — getting caught offside four times.
Marco Sahanek - 6.0
Made his second straight start for NorthEast United and had a chance in the third minute, after an instant counter-attack following Hyderabad's goal, but he shot it right into Kattimani's hands.
Imran Khan - 5.0
Picked up his first yellow card of the season after a terrible challenge near the touchline. Had one of his worst games of the season, with just 15 touches and lost five duels — the highest in the game.
Marcelinho - 6.0
Linked up with Marco Sahanek in attack at times with some decent one-twos. However, both were poor in the final third, either with their finishing or simply because of interception by the Nizam's defence.

Substitutes
Gani Nigam - 6.0
Came on for Imran Khan at half-time. Made two important recoveries and a vital interception in the game.
Joe Zoherliana - 6.0
Replaced Provat Lakra at half-time. Had a pass accuracy of 75% in comparison to Lakra's 41% justifying the latter's substitution.
Pragyan Gogoi - 6.5
Came on for Sehnaj in the 64th minute. Also, hit the crossbar just minutes after coming on -- in the 71st minute in his attempt for a consolation goal.
Tondonba Singh - 6.0
Replaced Gurjinder Singh in the 74th minute. Didn't really do much as he had just six touches throughout the game.
Hyderabad FC (by Riddhiman Sarkar)
Laxmikant Kattimani - 8.0
Made three saves as a dominant outing saw him claim another clean-sheet.
Asish Rai - 7.0
Helped Hyderabad keep their high and compact line and did not switch off for even a moment. Won 50% of his ground duels and was fouled twice.
[KH_ADWORDS type="2" align="center"][/KH_ADWORDS]
Nim Dorjee Tamang- 7.0
Vigilant presence at the heart of defence and kept the likes of Marcelinho and V.P Suhair under wraps. Blocked one shot and made two clearances.
Juanan- 6.5
Posed an early threat from set-pieces and correctly identified his far post runs. Showcased his experience, as he led Hyderabad’s defence with two clearances and one tackle.
Akash Mishra - 7.5
Another fantastic display down the flank from the left-back, who headed home Hyderabad’s second of the night from a corner. Scored his second consecutive goal in as many matches and completed one take-on and attempted six long balls.
Sauvik Chakrabarti - 6.5
Strung together passes in central midfield and was equally active in defence and attack. Came off for Sahil Tavora in the 76th minute, with an 85% passing accuracy and two interceptions.
Joao Victor- 7.0
Orchestrated play with Sauvik in the middle of the park and helped Hyderabad FC maintain their shape in defence and played fluid attacking football. Got 59 touches on the ball and also won all three of his aerial duels and three out of four of his ground duels.
Nikhil Poojary - 8.0
Turned Gurjinder in and out repeatedly, as he tore NorthEast United’s right flank open on quite a few occasions and earned his reward with a third goal for Hyderabad FC. He scored with an emphatic low strike into the right-hand side bottom corner in the 84th minute. Had a passing accuracy of 88%.

Joel Chianese - 7.5
Linked up play extremely well and dropped into half-spaces and made some good deliveries into the box. Assisted Akash Mishra for Hyderabad’s second. Came off for Edu Garcia in the 85th minute, having generated six key passes.
Aniket Jadhav- 6.5
Played as a second striker initially and was clinical with his dribbling. Had two shots on goal blocked. He came off for Seityasen Singh in the 68th minute.
Bartholomew Ogbeche - 8.5
Acrobatically volleyed a loose ball in the box goalwards from a revised corner-kick routine to give Hyderabad the lead. Netted a scrappy second goal to become the highest all-time goalscorer in ISL history. Ogbeche ame off for Javier Siverio in the 76th minute with 25 touches on the ball.

Edu Garcia - 7.5
The Spanish super-sub further extended Hyderabad’s lead, as he latched onto a well-threaded pass from Siverio and finished through the legs of a defender. Needed only nine touches on the ball to get on the scoresheet.
Sahil Tavora - 6.5
Fulfilled his role in midfield well as he completed 11 out of 13 of his passes.
Javier Siverio - 7,0
Played a dynamic role in attack, as he set up Edu Garcia with a well-weighted pass in the final third. Impressive, considering he only had five touches on the ball.
Mohammad Yasir- 6.5
Had a tame attempt on goal in the 92nd minute, but was otherwise silent as he got only six touches on the ball.
Seityasen Singh- 6.5
Won both of his aerial duels, but did not contribute too much after coming on as a sub.
