The Red and Gold will face their third fixture in ISL 2021-22 when they take on Odisha FC.
After the pain inflicted by the 3-0 defeat against local rivals ATK Mohun Bagan, Manolo Diaz and Co. will be hoping for a quick turnaround on Tuesday. Under Diaz, SC East Bengal are still on the hunt for that elusive first win in their Indian Super League (ISL) 2021-22 campaign and they will have to snatch it out of the opponents' grasp. On Tuesday, they will face Odisha FC. Kiko Ramirez’s men have kicked off things in style, having won their first game 3-1 over Bengaluru FC.
Ahead of the clash, Manolo Diaz spoke at the pre-match press conference where he answered questions from the media:

Update on Arindam Bhattacharya’s injury
East Bengal’s No.1 goalkeeper Arindam Bhattacharya had to be substituted in the first half against ATKMB after sustaining an injury. The derby was certainly not his best performance, but the team would want the seasoned custodian's services in goal.
“We are still yet to evaluate Arindam’s injury,” informed Diaz.
In his place, Shuvam Sen had come on and had an impressive ISL debut. “Shuvam will be starting in the next match,” confirmed Diaz when asked if he is in contention to be Arindam's replacement. He also revealed that Balwant Singh is injured.

A first start for Adil Khan?
The Indian centre-back impressed after coming on in the second half against Mohun Bagan. He could very well be starting the match, replacing the likes of Tomislav Mrcela. “Everything is possible. In this squad, everyone will have opportunities to perform to their best levels for East Bengal," Manolo Diaz quipped.
Mood around camp
A huge setback like the Kolkata Derby loss is naturally going to affect the morale of the team. They will have to shake off the blues and be match-ready.
“In two days, a new challenge is coming. All the players and coaching staff want to improve our level and better the image of the team,” the SCEB head coach concluded.
