Here's what Ritwik Das had to say about head coach Owen Coyle

In an exclusive interaction with Khel Now, the Jamshedpur FC star shares his thoughts on winning the League Winner's Shield.
Jamshedpur FC won the League Winners' Shield after a narrow 1-0 victory over ATK Mohun Bagan. They broke a handful of records in the process. The most appreciable being winning 10 games in the last 11 and seven of them in a row. Although Daniel Chima is hailed as the big man in this dream run, we can’t ignore the influence of Ritwik Das. The winger has scored four and assisted once in the last six games for his side. Moreover, he also scored the winning goal against the Mariners that helped them clinched the shield.
The youngster interacted with the media on the historical night to talk about the game. Here are some excerpts:
On scoring the winner
Ritwik Das has been scoring consistently in the business end of the season. But, his most important goal came against Mariners that won his team the shield. He clinically finished a half chance into the bottom left corner.
Terming the moment as the best in his life the youngster exclaimed, “It feels great. It has been a dream for me since the beginning of the season to win this. This is amazing and it feels great to score in such an important match and against such a great team in ATK Mohun Bagan, they have great players. It is a great feeling for me.”
On prospect of winning the double
Jamshedpur FC have the chance to become the second team to win both the shield and the title in a season. Ritwik Das was asked about the possibility of completing the double.
“It is the first time Jamshedpur FC qualified for the ISL semi-finals. This was also the first time we were fighting for the League Winners' Shield and we won it. It means a lot to me and each and every player,” the youngster added.
“Scoring the goal is a great feeling, but now I am a Jamshedpur FC player. I am only thinking about my team. It is a great feeling to firstly win the League Winners' Shield and score against ATK Mohun Bagan,” Ritwik Das also shared on scoring against the team from his home state (West Bengal).
On Owen Coyle’s influence
Owen Coyle is known for getting the best out of the Indian players and he admitted on numerous occasions that he loves to work with Indian wingers. Against Chennaiyin FC it was visible in the display from Lallinzuala Chhangate and now in Ritwik Das against ATKMB.
“He (Owen Coyle) is a very demanding coach. He demands a lot from each and every player. The boss gives confidence for each and every player to be at their best level and it only pushes us to strive for more, be in a good shape and give a good performance,” the youngster shared about the coach.
