About the player
Hailing from Goa, Adil Khan kick-started his professional football career with Sporting Clube de Goa in 2008. He spent five years there before joining then-I-League outfit Mohun Bagan ahead of the 2013-14 season.
The centre-back later debut in the ISL in its first season itself, with Delhi Dynamos. A series of injuries ruled him out of the following two seasons, before FC Pune City came calling just before ISL 2017-18. When the Pune franchise shifted to Hyderabad and rechristened itself as Hyderabad FC two years later, Adil Khan became a part of the new club. However, he could not enjoy much success with them and left the club on a short-term loan deal to FC Goa in January 2021.
He also played in the AFC Champions League 2021 with the Gaurs, before returning to HFC. Overall, the defender has clocked over 5380 minutes so far across 68 games in the Indian top flight, also scoring six times and registering an assist.
