Alberto Noguera, Ivan Gonzalez are also among the six players who departed the Gaurs.

FC Goa reaffirmed the departures of six first-team players through a club statement on 1st June 2022. The announcement includes the likes of starters like Alberto Noguera, Dylan Fox, and Airam Cabrera. Alberto Noguera has reportedly joined 2020-21 ISL winners Mumbai City. Former captain Ivan Gonzalez meanwhile, will don the red and gold of SC East Bengal in the upcoming season.

“FC Goa can confirm the departures of six first-team players – Ivan Gonzalez, Alberto Noguera, Alexander Romario Jesuraj, Dylan Fox, Airam Cabrera, and Christy Davis – following the end of their contracts on May 31, 2022,” confirmed the statement.

It continued, “The Club would like to thank each of them for their contributions, love, and support throughout their tenure. Gonzalez and Noguera joined FC Goa in 2020 and represented the club in the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons of the ISL, along with Romario who signed a year earlier. Fox and Cabrera joined in 2021 and were a part of the first-team squad for ISL 2021-22.

"Davis signed with the Dev Team in 2019 and was promoted to the first team in 2021.” Airam Cabrera was one of the highlights of a season to forget for the Gaurs. The pacy Spanish winger scored six times for FC Goa in the ISL 2021-22 season. Dylan Fox was another stalwart in the heart of their defence as he scored once in his 10 league appearances.

“FC Goa wishes each of them good luck in their future endeavours,” concluded the statement.

FC Goa have already completed the signing of Kerala Blasters striker Alvaro Vazquez on a two-year deal. The Spaniard will be an exciting addition as he's expected to fill the boots of the outgoing Cabrera. The Gaurs are also linked with a couple of top Indian players.
