The Mumbai-born defender was part of the club for a brief period on loan in the 2022-23 season.
Former Rajasthan United captain Hardik Bhatt is set to rejoin Mumbai City FC on a permanent deal Khel Now can exclusively confirm. A source close to the development stated, “Hardik’s profile was appreciated by everyone at Mumbai City, especially after his brief loan stint in the 2022-23 season. The club also wanted to sign him permanently last season both in summer and winter windows but consensus wasn’t reached.”
The Mumbai-born defender is now set to sign a one-year deal with an option to extend for another year after the completion of his medical and paperwork, which is set to be completed in the coming days.
About Hardik Bhatt
The 27-year-old versatile full-back had already spent six months on loan at Mumbai City in the 2022-23 season previously. Hardik played 14 games in the I-League last season, providing two assists and helping Rajasthan United stay afloat in the league.
Hardik started his senior career with ARA FC in the I-League second division and had plied his trade at FC Bengaluru United as well. He moved to Rajasthan United in the year 2021 and has been at the club since.
Mumbai City in summer transfer window

They have also signed Noufal PN from Gokulam Kerala as well as snapping up experienced goalkeeper TP Rehenesh. The Islanders have also offered contract extensions to defenders Valpuia and Tiri along with signing Jayesh Rane on a permanent deal.
Earlier in the day, Khel Now exclusively confirmed that Daniel Lalhimpuia is also set to ink a deal with the metropolis club.
