A source close to the development stated, “Hardik’s profile was appreciated by everyone at Mumbai City, especially after his brief loan stint in the 2022-23 season. The club also wanted to sign him permanently last season both in summer and winter windows but consensus wasn’t reached.”
The Mumbai-born defender is now set to sign a one-year deal with an option to extend for another year after the completion of his medical and paperwork, which is set to be completed in the coming days.
About Hardik Bhatt
The 27-year-old versatile full-back had already spent six months on loan at Mumbai City in the 2022-23 season previously. Hardik played 14 games in the I-League last season, providing two assists and helping Rajasthan United stay afloat in the league.
