ISL 2024-25: Updated Points Table, most goals, and most assists after match 14, Chennaiyin FC vs Mohammedan SC
The Black and White Brigade rose to the fifth spot after their historic win.
The 14th match of the Indian Super League (ISL) saw the latest entrants Mohammedan SC make it to the history books by clinching their first-ever win in the league. The Kolkata-based side pulled off a win to remember for ages against Chennaiyin FC away from home. Chennaiyin FC looked dominant for the majority of the first half but failed to convert their chances.
And then Lalremsanga Fanai found himself in a goalscoring position and did not shy away from putting the ball past Samik Mitra before the half-time whistle. The home side came out all guns blazing in the second half, but just couldn’t unlock the visitors’ backline. Mohammedan SC put everything on the line and defended their lead to get their first three points of the season.
